I am going to start a nuka world playtrough and after reading about the prebuild settlements of conquerer I thought this would solve the most important problem I had with the horrible implementation of nuka world the need to raid my own settlements so thank you very much for this. So in conclusion my question is if someone else tried this approach are there any pitfalls you know of or any tips you could give me?

So do you just want to use conqueror to build the settlements and then take them over with NW raiders? That will work perfectly fine.
If you want to do the conqueror story along side NW you can do that too. But just remember which settlement you've given to what faction as it's possible to attack NW raider settlements with conqueror raiders and visa-versa.

Both raider types work independently of each other, farms(vassals) you capture to supply food for Jammers gang won't share that food with the other NW raiders. You would have to make sure each gang is provided with food separately. The changes made to settlements are the same for each gang you just have to treat them as separate entities.
