Question NPC Pathing is completely broken

I 'm assuming that this is related to the recent update to WSFW. All NPCs, both settlers and other named vanilla game NPCs have completely lost the ability to navigate settlement objects. They have been reduced to walking in straight lines to objectives. They don't use stairs or go around built objects. While this does not affect the SS2 plots, it does cause issues with quests both SS2 and vanilla. I've been playing with the same mod build for the last few play throughs, and this is a new issue since the latest SS2 and WSFW update.

You still there? I don't know exactly what your pathing problems are, but I play on Xbox and we see significant pathing issues when using WSFW. I have not taken the update so it might get worse with that but on the current version things are sort of borderline. It seems to be a resource issue, but hard to know. I have worked on another mod that caused pathing issues and they would get so bad that teleporting NPC like radscorps and mole rats would cause the game to crash. That was a resource issue, and had to do with an extra layer installed to not break precombines of the original cells, but render a layer for the player to scrap.
Without wasting time as you might have quit from frustration, is your machine low powered or high powered, Xboxs are very low powered? The recommended min machine are not much better.
I have seen this issue before and had adjusted in the holotape under tools the max thread count to 35 right from the start, because of previous experience. The version of WSFW is new and seems to use more resources than the previous version I used 2 years ago.
I have been working on this issue doing many different things that were learned from testing the other mod that played havoc with NPC pathing. To early to tell, but there seems to be positive results from lowering the thread count from 35 to 20. I only have 20 hours play time with those settings and need more to observe some other details, but it seems lowering the thread count has a positive affect on NPC pathing. It does not happen immediately you need to give the game time to catch up, once repaired I hope to raise the thread count but only slightly. The 35 I started with worked, but as I built more settlements it likely needed to be reduced to 30 then 25, I suspect 25 will be my magic number. That said if the new update uses more, not sure what to do, or if the mod can still be used on low power devices.
