No Response Now Working: Still No Gang Name 6 Settlements In

Hey! I want a cool gang name, but six settlements under my terrible rule and Jammer isn't interested for some reason. How can we inspire terror if people ask what we call ourselves and we can only reply, "We're the Pending(tm) Gang"?

Is my Jammer all messed up? KG and some other said 3 or 4, "pretty quick", but 6 settlements seems too far. I have two vassals, three slave outposts and my main at Red Rocket.

update for convenience: After taking my first additional normal raider outpost, as I had only been doing vassals and slavers, Jammer chatted me right up. Radhounds Rule!

I think it’s an outpost count, or at least that’s part of it. I was going mostly outpost and vassal with one slave. I think it was third outpost when it triggered for me.

Darn, I wish it were three of any type of outpost in whatever order or combination. Are slave outposts not a horror worth a name? If you poke us, do we not hammer back? :moil
Well, I guess there's use for those unsettled settlements after all! :skull

Any combination of conquests count. I don't see anywhere this could fail, other than your dialogue being stuck in a loop.

Jammer only has the regular dialogue options for attacks, suggestions, donations, change base, etc. When he's ready does he just straight out talk about a name or is it a choice somewhere in the dialogue?

Yeah, once you get to that gameplay loop, he will start up other conversations automatically at the appropriate times when you return to him before going back to that loop.

Update: took my first additional normal raider outpost after six other slaver/vassal types and Jammer piped right up about a name. Radhounds here. Looks like if you don't take a least one other raider outpost, it won't count until you do.

On a completely different thing, I was notified of a pending attack on my main outpost. I was busy, had built up defenses, let's see if they can overcome on their own. They did. I arrived back to see a bunch of non-hostile Minutemen standing down at the Concord sign. After I fired at them, they went hostile and they died. Jammer said, What the hell! I thought you already killed the last of those guys . . .."

Did the attack actually happen? Were the Minutemen supposed to be friendly?

I know why they were friendly based on your description of events though, and that's on my todo list to get resolved.

When you say, they went hostile and they died - did you mean instant death like the Civilians were doing at the end of a raid? Or just in the sense that you and your raiders killed them.

Sorry, should have been more clear because that is an issue. I killed them. They were too far from the outpost for my raiders to notice, which was a good thing. The last attack at my outpost put the enemy literally in the room with the terminal as a spawn point; that's bad m'kay.
