Notes about Vassal Control Effectiveness from Patrols

RE: Additional Means of Gaining WRE - This is on the horizon, possibly as soon as the next patch. We have a number of new gameplay systems in the works for this.
This sounds great. Hope there are some tradeoffs associated with these additions. For example, building or doing X may boost Y but it takes a lot of time*, a lot of resources*, causes a hit to one of the other WRE pools (after completion of X, +10W, -5R), or has a limit (can only build a limited number within a settlement/empire or effect isn't additive).

* - akin to City Hall plot

RE: Documentation - The plan originally with the launch of Phase 2 was to have lots of documentation and infographics,
Given the scope, it's understandable that more content wasn't produced. Think some minor tweaks could cut through some of the opacity (a notion expressed in this thread and another). Take the recruitment dialog when there's a shortfall. It mentions Rations Wealth Equipment and then in next paragraph Agricultural Commercial Industrial plots. The parallelism is there. And, if you sit back and think about it of course A maps to R, C to W, I to E. Often though users don't read between the lines of dialogs. They read them to get explicit actionable info (ie to be spoon fed at some level). Revising the text some (possible ideas below) would cut through some if not much of the need for documentation/vids. (still like idea of short vids)
Tip #1: A plots generate R, C plots generate W, and I plots generate E.
Tip #2: As RWE rise, Control will fall. To offset this, blah blah blah.

Thank you for pursuing this issue, fessmods. I was having the same problems as you were, playing a liberator faction. I could not understand why I had not enough rations to recruit when I had huge amounts of food being produced in traditional settlements which were attached to my outposts via the IDEK warehouses. I thought I had even posted about it, but no one explained it to me in the clear fashion they explained it to you when you pursued the issue. Now I understand that I have to virtually enslave my independent farmers in order to support the military that is defending them. This makes me wonder why I am playing, but there are virtues to the SS/C system so I will see if I can adapt my Fallout world view.
