note glitch

In a quest, I picked up a note but it still says that I need to search the body even after quitting the game fast-traveling nothing is working.

Was that one of the "Hunt for X" quests from Caleb in Concord, by any chance?

If so, you can probably just continue the quest anyway by reading the note and/or taking it back to him.

the quest was Branigan's Brahmin Breeding, I also already read the note, and still nothing, so do I just continue the quest?

You MIGHT be able to continue it anyway, or you might need to go back a save to before you picked it up in the first place, and try not to do anything before the quest log tells you to. Those sidequests are VERY temperamental about that.

I have not saved in three hours going to take my luck with just trying to finish it

What's it say to do in your quest log?
Try collecting the rest of the items?

yeah, I am going to get the rest of the items, if that does not work do you know a way to reset the quest without going to a previous save?

Still, says search the raider is there any other thing I can do I have finished all of the other things I needed to do in the quest.

Try handing in the quest ?
Sounds like the objectives are not getting marked off correctly, but they should clear when you hand in the quest.

If that's the one with the cage key and you already freed the guy, should be fine. But, I'm not 100% sure on that.
