This is really just nitpicking, but Jake will use his "Don't mind the robot, it won't hurt you" line, before having reached Concord. In my case I was talking to him in my settlement at Egret Tours Marina just as he was starting to head back, so he was a long way from his workshop and the robot. Ideally would only be used at, or nearby, his workshop.

I believe this is a line he says during a quest usually, does that sound correct? Did he have other dialogue after or did he only say this? And if so, did he repeat it when he was back at the workshop?
The quest, I forget the name, has started so you have an objective to see Jake at his workshop.
He only says that one line during his travel back to Concord, paraphrasing: "Eh, don't mind the robot, it won't hurt you. At least I don't think it will."
The rest of the conversation, about the robot helping him get the equipment back to his workshop, won't trigger until he's actually returned there.
