New Possibilities

The problem is getting them into the game. I have not finished cleaning up my add on yet, and as this stands, they would only be interior plots. I can do windows etc. I also have one that has no ends, so they can be joined together. Cant get them finished in time for the city plan submission date. I do assume you can use assets from SS addons?

They are 1.3 scaled. So slightly bigger than vanilla. But had to do that for the doors!

Edit:- You couldn't use the assets anyway. Not according to the rules.

Oh no worries, I hadn't intended on using them for the contest, but I'd totally use them in the future! Also I love the Nuka Cola truck, you should make an ice cream truck version too haha

So do you suggest interior plots or some other way of getting them into the game as assets? I dont really know what the best way forward is.

I'd suggest interior plots, I use them all the time because they're half the size, doesn't mean I HAVE to use them in interiors only. 0:D

Skin options for windows are now a thing you routinely do? Times are changing. Do you remember how long I had to take to talk you into even looking at skins?

On a more serious note, this looks absolutely great. I always loved your "we made do with what we had" designs. They do feel organic and I buy the idea this was built by survivors.

Glad to see you still got it.

P.S. That carousel looked awesome too.

Cheers man.

Yes I remember the skin debate! You win. (This is however only the second skinning I've done since the info booth on the Mega Mall)

The carousel has been dropped / cancelled. Gave it away. Couldn't come up with a decent clutter / backdrop that I liked. The Moby van is now a plot and will be rolled out (or pushed out!) in the next update. However, regarding Xbox size, it has gone up a bit......

Have you considered making a separate pack to reduce file size?

Yeah I saw you cancelled it. Still not gonna stop me from showing appreciation for the work that was done, even if unfinished. I mean... it IS good work.
That's technically incorrect, you've done other skins afterwards. Ones I kept bugging you about. Like your apartment building. Which funnily enough was also about having a bit of diversity with windows.
Hell, since I'm here might as well go back to my old habits and critique all of it.
An elevator plot? Now that's my RobotSmells. Creative and outside the box. Well... in this case it's literally a box. Few questions: I'm assuming it's a working elevator. Right? Is it standard height to work with settlement walls and floors? Also that would be an easy one to make skins. A standard "we do what we can" look (I'm assuming this is what you have), more "high class" decoration and a "freight elevator" or commercial type.
That truck is something else. Love it! Is it a general vendor? A bar type?
Love both the interior and 2X2 "Crates for homes".
Especially love the forethought of leaving the possibility to join two together. Your signature style didn't change I see. I always loved that about your plots.
I know I'm repeating myself but that's just great work as always.

Fair point, but it was only really changing the left hand side interior plots to give a slightly different look. But yes, technically incorrect.

Not really an actual elevator. You cant to those in plots. Its actually a non auto door. If its at the upper level as you approach it, the text says "lift down" The doors at the top close, the lifts lowers and the doors open. Player enters, action button now says "lift up". Doors close, lift rises, doors at top open. Player exits.
Its standard for floor levels (nearly), but it needs a specific plot to be used in. I was going to change the Mega Mall and put it in there (remove the bathrooms etc), but it didn't fit between floors correctly, but more importantly, I never saw a settle use it in my test plot I made for it. (Which is also now subject to deletion).

They will not join together as plots as the sizes are not correct for that. I felt if I made the crates any bigger than I already did, they would just end up too big for the interior plot. Still I think a player could still place a few close to each other to give that feel of a crate section of town. (Whatever that means).
The van is a general goods vendor. Just like a real Moby. (over here anyway).

Having said all that, I really do enjoy reading your comments etc. Its praise either way. The fact you answer with praise or faults, its still cool that a user takes the time to give feedback.

Thank you again for taking the time to reply, even though I now you are busy with real life stuff.

Ok... euh... I guess the next question will sound dumb to you but... how is what you described NOT an elevator? If it takes you up and down a floor, isn't it an elevator? I'm confused.

Man. I know times are hard but I didn't expect acclaimed signer and musicians to have to start selling door to door from the back of their truck to make ends meet.

Also, regarding my comments, you know me, it's a pleasure to deconstruct a plot and think about all of the pieces and when I find something that might be good I share it, when I don't I assume you made a pretty damn fine job (or that we are equally wrong but I like the other version better). If there is anything you want to discuss or just need a wall to bounce stuff off, I'm there.

You take care now.
