New Game Startup - Resurrection Save File Message During Character Creation

I have been attempting to Startup a new game without encountering the Resurrection Save File Message during character creation. I listened to Kinggath's video on the Resurrection patch and what I took away from that was that I should check my load order for problems and discard the game and start a new game if I was not too far along. But I literally cannot get through Character Creation without encountering the message.

Here are my mods.

FO4 Script Extender
HUDframework
Mod Configuration Menu
Place Everywhere
Sim Settlements 2
Sim Settlements 2 Junk Town 2
Sim Settlements 2 SS2 Extended
Sim Settlements 2 Wasteland Venturers
Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch
Workshop Framework

And my load order.

Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch
HUDFramework
WorkshopFramework
SS2
JunkTownTwo
SS2WastelandVenturers
SS2Extended

My mod manager is Vortex.

Question. What should I do next? Should I ignore the message and continue? Is my PC simply not up to scratch to play this mod?

start a new game with no addon packs at all. get past the vault/starter quests. hard save. exit.
add your addon packs and any other mods.
done.
Thank you. This has worked but I am not clear at what point I can add the addon packs into the load order as I do not know what all the starter quests are. Could you be specific as to which quests should be completed before I add them back?

when you are just about to exit the vault you can save your game, quit to the desktop then enable all your mods and load the game and start by leaving the vault, or, do all the sanctuary quests with codsworth, up to the point where he sends you to concorde. at that point, same thing, exit the game, enable all your mods you want to play with, load the game, and as long as you haven't overloaded your game by adding in hundreds of mods in one go, you should be good.

if you have a lot of mods to load, i'd suggest you load them up in blocks, 10 or 20 at a time, start the game, just hang around in sanctuary for a bit, enable workshop mode, make sure your menus are intact and stuff....if you're happy, save/quit the game, repeat and continue to do that until you've loaded all your mods and you should be okay.

i'd suggest you break up your mods, so that a lot of smaller mods are next up in your list of mods to be loaded, saving larger mods, like quest mods or overhaults etc., to the very end.

ss2 is very script-intense, so you may get to a point where you break the game, especially if you load other mods that really stress the game engine. if that happens, just go back to a save where you didn't have as many mods loaded and go from there.

Let us know how you get on, but doing this should help you get to where you need to be.

@1ae0bfb8 - Thank you for all the good information. My intention is to go with the above load order to start. I have other profiles with more extensive load orders but I want to let Sim Settlements 2 stand alone at first try and see how it goes. I even got rid of Immersive HUD for fear it might conflict in some way with SS2 HUD features.

One of the things I am going to try is playing without Survival Mode. I want to know if fast travel will solve some of my "Devil's Triangle" issues between Red Rocket and Sanctuary. I would really like to have a play through where I don't have to travel back to Sanctuary from Somerville Place on foot because the game has decided they don't have any beds.

sadly the triangle of death exists in survival and every other game level. the settlements of sanctuary, red rocket and abernathy farm are just too close.
the only way around it in my experience is to build in one of the three leaving two empty, or build very small in all three. in red rocket thats pretty easy - sanctuary ive had a game where i simply built between the survivor's house and the workbench, with fences cutting off every other part of sanctuary completetly and in abernathy i only built around the main tower building with just some food plots.....anything more than that will kill the game - just a fact of life, sadly.

There's a good chance SS2 will start even if you get the resurrection error message during character creation. I'm on my second or third startup with a heavy mod list, have gotten that error each time, and I haven't had any problems getting the initial settlement going. YMMV, obviously depending on PC specs and exactly what mods you're running.

The presence of Sim Settlements 2 add-on packs in my load order causes this message to occur during character creation. If I disable the add-on packs and leave everything else in my load order I don't get the message. I have re-enabled the add-on packs after exiting the Vault as advised above and have not encountered any additional issues.
