Suggestion New faction type - Annihlators

    I don’t know if this has been suggested before, but I think it would be beneficial to add a third faction type for animals or madmen type stuff. Their roll is to annihilate a settlement.
    Consider a hypothetical radscorpion faction. When control is too low, and you fail to defend it, the radscorpions descend on the settlement and kill all the settlers. They then hang around as they’ve got a new nest.
    During the War generation phase, they’d have an otherwise empty settlement. Breakhart Banks, the failed settlement overrun by SuperMutants, is my model for this.

    These would be NPC factions only, in my vision. Just a worst case scenario for failing to secure a vassal

    So what you're suggesting is something like a Super Mutant faction that exterminates civilians instead of capturing them. Although this is great, I personally like to have people in the settlement I take over, no people means no production, though I guess it could always be used as an outpost.

    Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. My thought is that it winds up looking vaguely like Breakheart Banks, and has to be rebuilt.

    The “everyone is dead and you start from scratch” is, I know, a major usability and fun barrier.

    I thought it might be fun to have animal / monster factions (Like a horde of Deathclaws or Radscorpions), and those don’t make sense capturing and enslaving people.
