I added a new console command in patch 3.1.6 to help when balancing out your settlement designs.

cqf kgsim_cpmanager findobjects typeString

Replace typeString with one of the following:

  • beds
  • shops
  • guardposts
  • farms
  • scav
  • jobplots
  • agricultural
  • commercial
  • industrial
  • martial
  • recreational
  • residential
This command marks the object with compass markers, the first 5 will find non-plot objects, the rest will find the appropriate plot types.

speaking of commands, in the tutorials, for making a baseline it says to highlight to workbench and issue via console 'setpv somethingorother' (typing on other computer at mo), is this necessary if you already 'own' the settlement and can build there?

No, that command is only to unlock a settlement you haven't been to yet so that you can avoid doing the quests. Eldarth has since posted a save file with them all unlocked - so that command should never really be necessary if you use that.

Hmm, apparently I have 22 farms and 54 guardposts, I'm fairly sure i don't, also I seem to have 8 shops, but I've placed only 4 non plot commercial. Is this the command or my save?

The command should place markers on the objects so you can track them down.
