Hello all I am new to pc and new to modding. I came across this mod today watching a YouTube video and really wanted to try it out. I tried to download through the mods on the game and it says it’s missing certain parts. So I downloaded nexus and tried to download it that way but when I launch still nothing. I looked up videos on how to fix it and found the creator of the mod try and help walk us through it but when I did what he did it still won’t work. I don’t want to give up on it but since I have no knowledge on modding or anything idk what else to do can someone maybe walk me through it ir help me out if not no worries thank you

Hello, and welcome.

My first suggestion is to check out the wiki - start here, but at a minimum please review the entire Getting Started section.

To quickly summarize, you will need Workshop Framework (I also recommend the Script Override, found on the same page on the Nexus), HUD Framework, and SS2 with Ch.'s 2 & 3 (again, I recommend adding the Settlers Patch, the Outfit Injection, and the HUD Override, all from the base SS2 page on the Nexus, and SS2 Extended, found on the Ch. 3 Nexus page). I also recommend the Unofficial FO4 Patch to improve your overall FO4 experience. To get even more out of SS2, please check out the Available Add-Ons on this page.

Your experience may be a little quirky at the moment, since Bethesda chose to release the Next Gen update to accompany the tv show, and most mods are still trying to figure out what they need to update to get everything running smoothly again.

I hope all of this helps, and you enjoy your experience! Please post again if you have any additional questions!

Thank you for replying I did as you said downloaded those ones and I couldn’t find the hud or the extended. I’m honestly not sure if I’ll be able to do this since I’m not tech savvy I’ll just have to enjoy it through the YouTube video. Thanks tho

I hope you will continue to give it a try! The link to the Wiki that I gave in the beginning of my previous post provides links to everything you need. The optional files I mentioned can be found in the Optional Fikes section of the files tab for the appropriate main files on the Nexus. If a more specific link would help, just let us know. If playing with SS2 seems a bit much at the start, FO4 with just the Unofficial Patch may be a fun choice for you.

I ended up finally getting it to work and I’m enjoying it now I’m having a problem with assigning them to do things. Once I built the house and assign them they go but once I assign them to farm or work they no longer go to the house

Are they actually becoming unassigned from the residential plot? Or are they just not returning to it at midnight to sleep?

I am going to move this thread to a better location. Nothing wrong with it here, but its more suited to the Help section.

So when I would put the onto the plot they wouldn’t just go there I have to leave and then come back and everything is done being made. Now I’m stuck on the disease thing. I’m loving this mod but god I’m not good at these things thanks for the continuous help I know I must be annoying lol

Are you running any mods other than those I noted above? If you are, there might be some conflicts happening. If not, my best guess at the moment is that it is related to the FO4 update, though I haven't had these issues. If you are playing the Steam version, you ight try verifying your game files, and then try reinstalling the mod files. Sometimes it is just a faulty download of one of the files.

Find/create as many disease cures as you can, and build clinics as soon as they are available in all of your settlements (and hospitals once they are available). Try to keep your population numbers smaller until you have unlocked HQ and can research disease cures.
