Need help advancing quest "Connections" - SS2C2_CB_NQ04

This is the quest where you help Circe negotiate with Lydia, and I was having an issue getting the dialogue to start. I tried exiting and re-entering, reloading the game and trying again but couldn't get it to activate so I tried pushing it with console commands but I guess stuff like "resetquest" is not actually self-explanatory. It sounds like the new update fixed the problem I was having but I had messed it up before the update came out. Is there an actual way to reset this quest? It says it is currently running and current stage is 32, but Circe isn't even there anymore.

If possible roll back a few saves and you should be fine from there. The quest did get stuck for me also once, so I jumped back to the point where I leave the Hospital.
When she enters make sure to click on "Riverside Warehouse".

Nah my main focus is with building settlements and quests are secondary, so I would be losing a lot of progress by going back to an old save.

that was the question and your answer was less than helpful. i did what you said and no it did not work.. i won't bother asking again since i pretty confident you cannot help. i will go look at other posts.
