Bug Multiple Scav Team Dispatcher spawning in one settlement

I built the 3 of the plots which spawn 1 of 3 scavenger type buildings but they all came out as dispatchers.

What version of the mod are you running? I made some changes in 0.7.7 which should make this less common

0.7.7, It kept happening even when I tried to have different plots build them too. Just dispatchers each time.
 
k, when I get home I'll see if I can spot anything wrong

I can't see anything wrong in Fallrim tools, and when I try to load your save i have all kinds of issues (I don't have quite a few of your mods, so this isn't suprising).

Blow up or move it and destroy the 3rd dispatcher for me (but do not tell it to keep the same building plan) if you would, let it build for a few minutes, then reselect the Scavanger Support plot for me. Let it start building the dispatcher itself (wait unti lyou see walls or something), then lay down the 2nd Scavanger Support plot for me, and tell me what you get.

If that comes up a dispatcher as well I'll start retesting again and see if I can find something wrong.

OK! So! I was able to get around most of the issues, and then I also realized you have realistic build times enabled (something I haven't tested with extensively due to the..uhh...really long build times! :P). Having said taht, I followed the advice I provided above (destroyed, rebuilt the last dispatcher), then built a 2nd after a few minutes, and both of them came out fine (first was a dispatcher, 2nd was a sorter). The first plot was still under construction when I built the second, but had already specialized into a dispatcher.

Yeah this seems to do it. So for the future, I must just make sure I don't place two scavenger support plots down one after the other, I must make sure there's some

Basically yeah, what you experienced SHOULD only happen if either a) you get a lot of script lag or b) they finish very very close to the same time. In 0.7.8 I'll probably add another check after they finish and if they are a duplicate I'll reset them back to a scavanger support plot for reselection.

I am having a similar issue myself.

When I have all the basics secured in a settlement (that I plan to make pretty large) I build three scavenger support plots.

In red rocket the first one to spawn was a dispatcher (good!) but then then second one became a Shed without building the Sorting Facility and the third one became a Shed too.

Blew up the second Shed (third plot), laid the plot again, became a Shed once more. Guess I will have to try blowing up the first Shed (second plot)?

In Vault 88 slightly different, laid two plots instead of three. First one, dispatcher (excellent!), second one Shed (??), thought 'well, let's lay another one then', third one... dispatcher!

Running the latest version (0.7.8)
 
I'm having the same problem but when I try to change the plot it just keeps rebuilding the dispatcher and my first dispatcher is level 2, surely that's enough time even with script lag, right?

Hrmm, I cannot recreate any of these issues reliably. I can't get it to duplicate at all, even when I build them one right after the other, and I've never had it skip the salvage sorting facility ever :/

Yeah, that's plenty of time

I have no idea why it's happening for you guys, I can't get it to build duplicates even when I try. The rebuilding the same plot thing is normal however, it's due to how plots store their building plan, if you pick it up and set it back down, it will pick an entirely new plot, you can then swap. I'm going to review how the plot selection code works and see if I can change that part, but that has nothing to do with the building duplicates.

BluntSword: I assume you're on 0.7.8 as well?
 
I should probably mention that it does say that there are multiple teams and to refresh the plot but I'm not entirely sure what that means.
