multi-resident houses

I started a new play through only to not have an option to make multi-resident houses, all that shows is random.
I could reload some way back but I would still have to play a lot to get back to see if when I get all plot options if it fixes itself.
Hoping for a work around, It would help if quest names where in the save file name.

I have had the same problem for a while now, it seems only to be with Resident plots all the others are ok in my game.

No, it happens to other plots also. Killed my commercials once. No idea why. Also had loads of progress to make up after loading in a old save. Now I check I can select building plots etc on a regular basis.

I restarted a new game only to have Jake not show up, but that was only a short time so Ill start again.

Have you tried fast traveling away to force the cell to reload? This has fixed some other issues for me.
I have only run into this "no building plans" bug a couple of times. IIRC, there was a notification (top left) about the plot being busy. Waiting a while has fixed this. It might be unrelated...

I think they are two different things. I get the plot busy, if I try to do something whilst its still refreshing for example.

Isn't there a refresh build list function in the terminal? Does this do anything?

When you say terminal, do you mean pipboy? If so, thats a city refresh, and it destroys everything and resets all plots to level 1.

I believe you are referring to the "rebuild cache data" (or something like that) option in the City Manager. IIRC, this is supposed to re-register all building plans with SS2. I recall Kinggath saying he added this feature to fix the "no building plans selectable" issue. You would have to look at the patch notes to be sure. It was added somewhere towards the end of the "alphabet soup" betas, like just before v1.0.1... I think... :scratchhead

Refreshing a city plan is bad. I screwed up every settlement that was attached to Starlight with a idek logistics station when I did that. They literally blew up.
