Missing textures and uninstalling simsettlment

So I recently downloaded a bunch of mods to go with the latest update of sim-settlment, however, after a few hours of playing I noticed that other mod textures namely armour and clothing have started vanishing. the items are still there and all but just invisible. I've tried to reinstall the mods but that hasn't worked and the problem seems to be progressing (no more institute power armour or full dialogue interface). I m sure that sim-settlement has little to do with these disturbing developments, but I'm leery of disabling the mod and possibly destroying my settlements to find out if it's responsible.

I've tried loading older saves and even different characters but the problem remains, so my question. if I disable simsettlments but dont save will my carefully constructed inhabited scrap yards return to me upon re-enabling the mod?

and has any one had this happen before?

Exactly right and this is exactly how we troubleshoot problematic mods and addons.

Load without the potential problem mod and if it corrects the problem, then you know the culprit. If it doesn't, then you've got something else going on.

Just don't save over your settlement save and all should be well.

So they are not the issue, but the problems persist.I have verified the game cache( i play on steam) several times and im at my wits end here. Any ideas on what to do next?

Check for loose files in the data folder... These can cause no end of hair pulling.

im not particularly literate with technology, but if I delete anything important I can just verify the game cache to fix it right?

Yes you can.

Have you also checked the wiki for known addons that can clash with SS? Just so you are sure your'e not having any of them.

Now simsettlments isn't working and im officially at the end of my rope here.

If you temporarily disable all the mods and only run the Sim Settlements mods and start a new game. Play a while and then start up the other mods one at the time and play a little in between the restarts. Then you would propably see exactly what mod will break the game for you. It will take some time unfortunately, but on the other hand. If/when we know what mod is to blame. Then we propably can help you fix it.

the sim settlement plots aren't even showing up at this point. Also I think kingath mentioned that some of the simsettlment mods are obsolete now? like addons have been incorporated into the base mod?

Sim Settlements absorbed some of the plot types from Industrial Revolution to support recreation and martial plot types in the RotC expansion without requiring IR to be loaded.

Sim Settlements, Industrial Revolution and Rise of the Commonwealth are all the same version, if you've got a lower version of one of them, it will have unpredictable effects.

You need Sim Settlements and neither, one or both of the expansions to play with SS plots.

The trick is whatever you have loaded, make sure the versions are right.

ok so i had to go back to Concord to grab the tape and thats working. Does simsettlements haev a discord or something?

There's a discord for mod creators but not one for general users that I know of.
