Ok, so i couldnt find a post with describing the same issue so im making this.
I had been playing on my current save for 2d 6h 25m. I had just fast traveled to starlight to check on things and found one of my residential plots missing. Whats odd is the cables attached to the plot are still present as is the structure that the plot generated. The plot was the raised wooden platform. I didnt delete it in fact i havent moved or removed anything in the settlement since i put to gether my sim settlement town. This issue im having is similar to the bug where the plot could be deleted but some things would remain, Only this time it wasnt deleted.
Would post pic but im posting from phone.

Did you upgraded a mod since yesterday? I've read something about a sandburg, which was deleted

Are you on PC? I've been trying to get my hands on a save file where this issue is occurring. So far t has only happened to xbox players, so i haven't been able to investigate it.

Sorry nope im on xbox. I can say that when i tried moving the cables then canceling the movement they snap to where the center of the plot was, the center of the platform the structures appear on i mean. Im trying delete and reload to see if that does anything.
Ok so reloading an earlier save seems to work for a work around like it did for when stuff remained after the plots were removed.
I also noticed that the plot was not being counted in the refresh all plots action.

The plot has definitely bugged out then, you'll want to scrap it while you can. Must be that the game engine just removes it after it's had too long of a freakout - I just have no idea why they're doing that on Xbox for some people.

I had a similar thing in county crossing , i have extended building borders and built up to them but on the hump at the far right corner of the plot, facing away from the broken building, everytime i went somewhere else and came back ,buildings /walls / turrets would dissapear so i just rebuilt further in till it stopped doing it.

@DaveBR UK Sounds like the mod author of that forgot to turn off cell resetting in the extended area.

I wonder if neeher thought of that in the new settlement expansion mods that have been getting put out rapid-fire lately.

Ok so i had managed to refresh the problem plot so the asam sensor shows up. Thing is the plot did the disappearing bug again but the asam is still there and it allows me to refrsh the plot. Sadly the baseplate and the pole does not reappear after refresh. Sadly i cant delete the asam to remove the plot, maybe add a selfdestruct option to the asam that tags any objects that spawn on the plot for deletion

Does the refresh actually work? Like do the rest of the objects flicker in and out when you hit that option? That would actually give me a lead on what's happening.

Ok, interesting. Damn I wish you were on PC so I could see your save file! I think I know what's happening, but need to run some console commands to confirm.

Sometimes I will set a plot, have it set a few feet too high, and after fixing it the buttons are still in the air above. One time I had multiple ASAM buttons when this happened with an Adv Ind plot. Maybe something similar is happening and it is there, but showing up in the wrong spot?

As of patch 2.0.3, activating the ASAM sensor will restore any plot that the game engine decided to make disappear.

I think I just encountered this bug. One of my original residential plots in Sanctuary decided to disappear, leaving the building and the sensor behind. Activating the sensor didn't do anything, resetting the plot didn't return the base, and changing the building model just changed the building but made the sensor disappear. It's the metal prefabs building, and I'm up to date on the current versions. I'm not sure how long this has been going on in-game, I just noticed it. I'm on PC.

There's a good chance NMM failed up to update your scripts properly. Can you put your character in front of the problem plot, upload your save to a dropbox.com account, and post a link? I can confirm if it's the same issue and if so, you'll know if you need to do a manual install of Sim Settlements to get your files fixed.

Looks like something tagged the plot for deletion. In the next patch, I'll make the sensor menu include a Destroy Plot option so you can easily clean up the left-overs because there's no way to restore that plot - the game engine has removed it.

Hello. I love your mod. I added a few of the Sim settlement add ons... and now some of the plots do not have walls. I am playing on a save that is almost 65 days old...so anything could be wrong with it. Also, it seems my settlers are not auto assigning many times. I took out all mods that the wiki said cause problems ( I did remove Spring cleaning... and use Scrap everything now... not sure if it is a similar problem ). Anyway, I am on a PC and I am willing to share my saves. I did notice something odd with Spectacle Island also.... it seems to be broken into 2 parts.... I had to build extra water and food near the zone in point to get people happy, while the side with the workshop has 120 water and 60+ food. I have NMM loading as admin...so it should be making all the directories correctly. I use LOOT to try to find conflicts with mods also, but cannot seem to get the walls on some plots. I am using 40 + mods....including Cookies Apocalypse ( love that mod ).
Anyway, thought I would post this... see if anyone else is having issues. It is not a big deal...since I re-build my settlements daily...lol.
PS. Do you plan to make special plots for Level 4 NPCs ( I think Curie needs her own lab...so I can finally cure my mole rat disease... and the Vault Tech rep is sooo broken... I finally just sent him to Coventant )

Taking it from the top:
"now some of the plots do not have walls" - This can happen if you updated a mod with NMM and it derped the install. If you use Nexus Mod Manager, delete the old addon entirely from your system and then install the new one. The game won't know the difference if you do it while the game is closed.

"it seems my settlers are not auto assigning many times." - NMM mod issues or just script lag, is this at one settlement or all of them? How big are the impacted settlements for population?

"I did notice something odd with Spectacle Island also.... it seems to be broken into 2 parts" - Spectacle Island is 18 cells total and unloads the far end when you get to the edge of the island. Unfortunately this is normal behavior. You will need to place generators and water around the island to get universal coverage.
