Lots of available power, but plots not powered

Using the Taffington city plan. Power municipal plot is manned, and I changed one of the Ag plot to power, so I've got 75 power. Other plots say they aren't powered. Everything had powerlines that I can trace back to power sources. I added a municipal power pylon and linked it in (I had assumed that there was already one of those in the city plan, but couldn't find it, so added one just incase). Still plots not showing that they have power. I haven't added any plots and the ones that are there are almost all level 1. I tried 'wiggling some of the powerlines, still nothing.

Any ideas?

run the command connect power lines and see if this changes anything for you.

Nevermind! found it as an option on the city planner's desk. Did it. it said 0% in the upper right, then didn't progress and disappeared. Everything still unpowered.

The pylon isnt actually part of the plot in SS2, ALL plots now use "radial power" - its just that the "external" plots are scripted to spawn a power pole within their square in that corner.

And yet none of the power generated by them is being shared in the settlement.
Right, sorry, I misunderstood the issue you were having. Did you try building a pylon or one of those smaller connector things in range of the interior plots? Should be able to get all of them within the radius of one or two pylons, from my memory of that city plan.
(I actually use the "auto power" option, because I trust the game so much to do what its told that i would rather use something "unbalanced")

Tried both - no luck! I'm at my wit's end! Is there a refresh settlement, like in SS? (I already tried refreshing the plots one by one). Next on the list is scrapping all current wiring and trying to do it myself.

I actually only use City Plans that one time when the quest tells you to (and apparently its not even mandatory there now if you can figure out how to do it that way, going to test that tonight) so I'm unsure. I think using the blueprint on the desk has that option, or maybe applying the plan again will wipe and start over?

On second attempt, I was able to refresh the settlement. Most of the power problems seem to be resolved - most plots are powered. Just the three to the right (south) of the house are unpowered. Refreshing the plots didn't help; reattaching the wires didn't help. put down a medium generator between the plots and connected it to the outside plots (2/3) got them all powered.

Might be that the settlements need a bit more juice. I have been working that into my settlement designs.

The municipal Power switcher in that settlement is between the Workbench and the power Plot on the wall. But its not connect to your Powergrid even you let Connect your City with the desk option same as the Recruiting Tower near the water that 2 you must Connect manual. The Generator in the room near the Water pump its even not Connect to your man grid it run only the Water pump.To connect him to your main grid use a item to pass the power trough the wall and then connect it to you grid outside.

On two occasions I've had to follow the power lines and select each on in turn and then unselect it so it snaps back into position, doing this removes the red power holo icons that appeared even though the top vanilla hud showed I had plenty of power. I've also had to do this at Starlight. I suspect something subtle in SS2. After all isn't auto wiring in city plans a new thing with SS2 and only if you have F4SE?

I'm having a similar issue at Taffington. The grid went out and I repaired and now some plots say they have no power, even if I connect a generator directly to it. Hell, I even used the mini Nuclear Generators and connectors from SOE which also send power wirelessly. Other nearby plots will get power, but not the ones in question. Must be a weird bug.

many years later but if anyones having problems like this sometimes the city plan placed power connectors are a bit bugged or something. i replaced each one with a new connector, made sure it was vanilla. even if the plan used a vanilla connector replace it anyways they can be bugged. after that my 350 power was finally enough for the 6 level 1 plots lmao.
