Listen to Jake's Private Frequency

I have a misc quest to listen to Jake's Private Frequency and when i click it nothing happens, any way to force progress this misc quest?

That can be a pretty significant concern, you get instructed to listen to that station several times, so just skipping will cause you to miss a bit. It could be something simple like script lag, or a volume control setting. Also, do you have other mods adding radio stations? Those can sometimes step on each other.

I was able to force progress the quest using the mods holotape by force beginning the quest "Well well well!"

How do you force a quest to start and not just auto complete it?
You can use the console command "StartQuest <questid>"(or script for another term) but it's not guaranteed to work since when the quest(script) starts it might be looking for variables(values that indicate a quest stage, item picked up, location where your at, etc.,.) that doesn't yet exist, hasn't been set by another quest(script) or has the wrong value, so the quest will stop or not function as intended.

I also forgot to mention that you can use "SetStage <questid> <stage>" to set the next stage of the quest, but it might not always work- same reasons as above. You can try it and see as you can always load a game save back prior to using the console(though the problem might not surface until much later in the game).

I had to skip the quest. I had previously killed the cult and Jake makes comments about them so that may be the issue. Clickerfied Ghouls could be an issue as well. Smh I should known better. I saw Ghoul overhauls don’t work well. But I figured this was just an audio overhaul. once again ty both.

FWIW, I just had this problem myself today and searched the forums to see if anyone else had the same issue.

I've finished Well, Well, Well and waited. Have a misc objective to listen to Jake's Private Frequency. When I listen, it's just dead silence and the quest doesn't progress.

I'm on a new playthrough that I just started this week after not playing for about 6 months.

I don't need assistance, I was able to push it forward with console commands (setstage SS2_Sirick_MQ07 10), but rather I'm making this post to see if something changed in the last patch that broke this quest. How many other people are having this problem? This post is only about a month old...

The reason mine didn't work is I had Clickerfied Ghouls Mod active. I am on a new playthrough without it and the quest works fine.

Yeah, I just came back to say that I found an older save that I had where my character had finished Well, Well, Well but before getting the prompt to listen to Jake's broadcast to start Hub of the Problem.

I slept for a few hours until I got the prompt to tune into Jake's frequency and then it worked just fine that time. So, in my case it was just a glitch, I guess.
