So, after creatively installing 12 5-power generators, i see the PBP has powered receptacles. Needless to say, i have power lines running the gamut of the settlement, is this a bad thing? Bad thing in, does it affect the transfer of the settlement or CP in anyway, or are they more to keep the settlement clean looking and not having power lines running everywhere?

Mind you, it's not sloppy, however, there are plenty of them.
Suggestions? Personally, it doesn't bother me, but there are OCD types that it would drive them nuts I guess.

Is best to still run power lines, because everything needs to have power when you export your city plan stages. When built, the city will then have power.

Generators require maintenance costs (caps) if the city plan user has costs on. PBP power receptacles do not.

I’m told the same for water purifiers vs PBP sources of water.

Wind Generators have no maintenance costs. I find a mixture of Generators (Wind and/or Powered) and PBP power works best. Wire up *everything* before the export.
