With the start of the City Plan: Masters Contest, and the rules therein, I figure some of you might be interested in a TV show that aired a few months back here in Oz.

LEGO Masters

Obviously the show involves building with LEGO, but what isn't immediately apparent is that the judging of the builds is remarkably similar to the Masters Contest rules. The judge is looking for:
  • Creativity
  • Story
  • Technical Ability
Some of the other LEGOisms, "NPU" (Nice Part Usage), could also apply to City Plans. And the rarer "Swooshability", while not verbatim, is also applicable.

Anyway, I figure if you like building settlements in FO4, it's likely that you also enjoy LEGO. So if you're interested, there's something else to eat up your time. I believe there may be a British series also.

:crazy hahahaha!

:scratchheadWhat would happen if Thuggysmurf entered a lego contest?

I suspect something too dark to show on a PG time slot? :lol

That was actually one of my favorite builds from the series. The challenge in that episode was to build a villain lair based on minifigs drawn from a hat. That team (a quirky husband and wife team) drew "Cactus Girl". Her lair is a converted Taco Restaurant, and her goal is to steal and hoard water. They were also required to create a getaway vehicle. Though the Blimp they built was a bit of a let down (It did have water tanks complete with sharks in them though). This teams technical skills were severely lacking. But their Creativity and Story elements were always great.
