Thank you for all your help.

Your Novel metaphor actually made a lot of sense.
Getting ready to watch the second video.
Great job on figuring out the mods.
The Vault 81Hub actually adds the workshop to the area in front of vault 81, it is a mod by VFX&Yagisan.
Then the other is an ss2 city plan for that area.

These are my papyrus settings- I don't enable detailed reporting or profiling. Profiling dumps a ton of data for all the running script frames that are being processed by the VM(trust me... even a few seconds will create a MASSIVE log of text).

Often times it'll show the script, which the first byte of the script or reference id(other than FF) might help to point to a specific mod.

Hopefully that did it.
I did go into the game to see if I could find the object, but guess what, as soon as I went to Coastal Cottage, CTD, so I tried again and same thing happened.
I think the city plan I'm using may be causing the problem.

That actually would be a very good guess. Nice job! If that's the case, there was nothing in the Buffout 4 log that would indicate a power grid problem, or a 'loose file stream'- so we can more than likely rule those out. I wonder if you remote destroy the settlement if you can fast travel there? From the Coastal Cottage your near the Far Harbor DLC of Nakano's residence and some of the surrounding areas(cells to extend to the Nakano's)... which might explain why the "DLCCoast.esm" was in the STACK of the Buffout 4 log as some of that data was being loaded.

Ok so I enabled the Papyrus but cannot find any reports. If it is creating them, I can't find them. :unknw:scratchhead
I did find out that any form id that starts with FF is a dynamically generated item.

I reset Coastal Cottage using WSFW, and surprisingly it did not remove the city plan. I was able to go in and reset a bunch of stuff, and get it working again.
I thought I had it worked out. I traveled from there to Jamacia, then back to CC, then to RR. It looked like everything was going good, then next travel back and CTD.

Form ID: 0xFF069201
Form Type: 76

I was trying to find out what Form Type 76 was, as I thought maybe that might give me an idea what sort of item it was looking for, but I can't find that info anywhere.

I know this is taking up a lot of your time and I really appreciate the help. I am really learning a lot from you.
Thank you so much. :smile

I was thinking that also, but didn't find any immediate references for Fallout 4, though I did find one for Skyrim(at least the save game format which has form id's listed as 'change forms'). Whether they're the same, I'm not sure yet. I believe that would point to the actual form id(record) that might be cauing the problem.

It's no problem at all. Thanks for the kind thought- I actually enjoy the breaks between coding and mentally mapping coding solutions and passing along some of this information that might help someone else.
Thank you so much.
Anytime. :smile

Ok, so you reset it and everything seemed to work ok... is there a way you can 'lock' the city plan at a level 0? So it doesn't upgrade? If you can, try that and do the travel to and from Coastal Cottage to see if you can isolate the problem to a particular 'level' within the city plan. If you still have crashes... there might be a few other things we can try. First, if you reset the city plan or remotely destroy the settlement and there's objects still there we'll need to get those cleaned completely off using something like Raze My Settlement, Clean My Settlements or Transfer Settlements "nuke settlement" option. That should give us a clean 'slate', so to speak.

Next, select a completely different city plan and try that. When you travel back and forth, does it still crash? Give it some time and enough tries for a good sampling test. If not, completely remove that city plan so everything there is 'clean' again, then try the previous city plan again. Does it start crashing? If so, it might be something in that particular city plan, or city plan level.

I will check to see on the locking, but I think it's past lvl 0 already.

I fast traveled a couple of times then a crash. I did just get a notification from Vortex that some files were changed and they are the ones edit says it fixed and the ones I cleaned, so maybe that will help.
I will probably wait until tomorrow to try this as I have to cat sit for a while.
Just got a new kitty a few days ago and my older cat and her aren't getting along really well. They are starting to play nice with each other. Old cat just came in for the night, so I have to go referee them. Also, I've got neighbors setting off fireworks, so we have to be ready to man the hoses. Lots of trees here.

I know some mod authors recommend not 'cleaning' their mods as some of the records are required and the mod will crash of fail otherwise. It's rare to see that, but I have come across a few now and then.

Want another one? Lol! Finally this one went to sleep. I rescued a really nice turkish angora from a farm where the owner just dumped it. It was nothing but skin and bone. It actually sat on the dash as I was driving home, then in the passengers seat. Took it to the vet the next day and spent a week getting it's body weight back. It's an awesome cat. Never bites or scratches. Amazing.

This one... is a 'watch me till we can come pick her up' thing. She's really not a bad cat... but man, I've never seen a cat with seperation anxiety this bad. The minute I start trying to record a video for here she carries on... jumps on the desk... walks in front of the monitor... jumps down... then it's a rinse and repeat. The one thing I found that works is to toss her a small bit of food... morsel distraction if you will. :grin

I keep those two separated. No way I'm taking a chance on that.
Also, I've got neighbors setting off fireworks, so we have to be ready to man the hoses. Lots of trees here.
They did that here also- love those fireworks! Hopefully your alls night won't be that eventful, so sit outside... and enjoy the view!

I read that, but then someone pointed out that if that happens just redownload the mod. So I decided to take a chance.

Your cats sound adorable.
My latest was a rescue, she was at the shelter with her brother and both were extremely sick, he didn't make it. They were undernourished and had respiratory infections.
She had to be spoon fed a special diet and get antibiotics. She has put on a couple of pounds and her hair is growing back. She is doing great and is a bundle of energy. I thought her name was sweet, they named her Luna, but now I realize it is short for Lunatic. :grin

So back to work to see if I can fix this game.

So I razed the settlement, removed the plan and it removed everything but a couple of 4th of July decorations. I am just going to leave those there and see if they go away, if not I'll remove them.
I set up a new plan, have fast traveled to and from at least 10 times and no CTD.
That may be the fix. :grin:yahoo:yahoo

That's true. I did the same for my Fallout 4 textures(the vanilla). The texture packs were so large that they provided them as replacements for the vanilla ones. So far, at least that much, seems to be working ok.

They are at times... though I think it's actually 'cat' :grin ... unless my son decides... The funny thing about tthat is, he stopped by last night to take some pics of it and it took off. I was like... "son, what did you do? where's she at?"... I'm hoping this isn't a preminition of things to come! There's no way I left her suffer or be neglectedso she's here with me while the other is in another section of the house. Thank goodness that one sleeps most of the day. I still don't remember builiding a cat trap... anywhere...

That's amazing! This one has chilled out alot more since I've spaced out her feedings... Pavlov if your out there... there's a difference between noticing and discovering! :lol Sorry, couldn't resist that one.

I've got some coding and problem solving today to inch this project forward also- but I do want to play a bit; I love the Nuka World environment for some reason. Plus I need to see if I can find some collectable books!

Yes please go play, that's what I intend to do.
What is the mod for those books?
Is it terrible that I just fixed (fingers crossed) my game and am thinking of adding more?
This one,
and this one,
