Issue with Creations

Just thought I would add a note here for anyone else getting stuck. I figured out that NMM .17 is the only one of the mod organizers that will handle the fomod dependency. I tested Vortex first and it simply refused to recognize the esls from a dependency point of view, so I ended up installing it in nmm and then copying the files over. After my game 100% broke I uninstalled the world and tried MO instead; this time I ended up downloading it manually, opening the zip and copying the correct files over. {I have Slocums, but not the arcade}

Just so you know if you install any of the Creation Club content you can no longer sort your load order manually in NMM (using drag & drop on the plugins tab). Even with the latest version. It's a known issue and as far as I know there are no plans to fix it.

For me LOOT also seemed to be broken but LOOT has seemed broken for Fallout 4 for a while now so hard to say if it's related.

The only solution I've found is to export the load order to a text file, edit it, and the re-import it. Clunky but workable.

Like Lore, I've switched to Mod Organizer 2 and, once you get through the learning curve of how it works, I'm finding it much easier to deal with.

Having an issue with the Slocum's Joe plots -- added the CC content this evening, ran the vendor fix in the holotape, but the plot doesn't show up in the plot list at all. The only one I see is "Franchise Kit by kingath", which looks like a SJ plot, but I don't see yours anywhere.

Here's my current load order (NMM is at 0.65.6). Help???

did you complete the SJ quest? They should become available when you complete it.

Yes, completed the quest and the SJ items show up in workshop mode. No plots though.

Can you type Help COOTS_SJ 3 in the Console and let me know what they are.

Ok, this is interesting -- started a new character since I reported the issue, and the plots showed up as soon as I finished the SJ quest. I'll log into to the other character that had the issue and see if she still isn't seeing them, and then run that command if she isn't.

Ok, went back to the alt that it wasn't working with, and it's still not working. Wish there was a way to cut-and-past from the console, but here's what that command gives:
"Viewer strings not available"
Global Variables
COOTS_SJinstalled=0.00
COOTS_SJ_Listinitialized=1.00
COOTS_SJVendorGood=0.00
COOTS_SJDone=1.00

and after the usage help text, it says:
"Picked Non Ref AV Object: "

Hope that helps. This alt is lvl 54, and hasn't been to the Institute yet. Exact same set of mods as the new alt, and yet the SJ lot works fine with the new alt, but not this one. It is a puzzlement....

You see there is logic in the holotape that if
COOTS_SJInstalled=1.00
COOTS_SJ_Listinitialized=0.00
COOTS_SJVendorGood=0.00
COOTS_SJDone=1.00
Then you get a Repair Slocum's Joe Vendor List option and this would repopulate the lists. I made this because some mid saves had to have a compatible way to update from an old way I wrote the scripts.

Your set-up
COOTS_SJinstalled=0.00
COOTS_SJ_Listinitialized=1.00
COOTS_SJVendorGood=0.00
COOTS_SJDone=1.00
Means you've finished the SJ quest and that the lists are initialized, but that you do not have SJ installed

Which is bizarre, because of course it's installed, and works perfectly fine with my newer alt. And on the alt in question with this issue, I can see all the SJ stuff in workshop mode, so it's there.

I don't have the creation kit or debugging enabled -- I'll do that and get you the info, because this is obviously a really obscure bug I've hit.:blum

Here's the log -- hope it helps!

I've built a new function into the script and included something in the holotape that you can use to fix this God damn problem. Right now there have been some failures at load because of a butt ton of CC content and other issues. You'll have a fix VERY soon.

FYI (and sorry for the late report, but I just got around to loading up the character that had the issue), I'm happy to report that your last update fixed the problem, and that character can now build your SJ plots. Huzzah!
