Is Anyone having issues with their Skyrim Game besides Me?!

Mine has gone so Chaotic as if my game is coming out of Hell! My game is barely unplayable due to the non-stop crashes which have been going on Since the day before! I do not have that many mods to cause this crash either! Everything has been updated too and still crashing like hell, and the craziest part I haven't been playing it for months. Because whenever I play it, shit just gets crazy on me. Ugh!! S.O.S

So... nothing changed with the game? Nothing new added or removed? And you started playing again and everything went south?

A windows system setting such as audio sampling rate that's above cd/dvd quality might be a culprit? Since windows has been releasing updates is your graphic card driver up to date? Those would change outside of the game's executable or your installed mods changing. Not completely sure... just a guess.

If there's a 'buffout' type mod you can install, try installing it and posting up a log. Maybe that can help isolate what the problem might be.

i can send you my save game idk if they have a buffout like or something. This has never happened to me before..

I don't mind you sending me a file, I'm just not sure if it'll help us figure out what the problem might be. If nothing changed- no mods added or removed and nothing system wide changed like updated graphics drivers etc.,. then I'm wondering if a windows update is blocking a dll if some were added as mods... or somehow your hdd or game files have become corrupt. This is the only things I can think of right off. I've played games on steam and the game files changed between game sessions(same day just hours apart) and something wasn't loading correctly due to the game file version changing.

Give some time to think about this a bit more...

I might be the game files changed because I am also playing it on Steam as well!!!
If that's the case it would more than likely invalidate any script extender like SKSE which would affect mods that require it. It seems like a longshot though... it's been awhile since Skyrim Special Edition, I can't imagine why Bethesda would need to update their executables... but wouldn't put it past them.

Exactly, and I got a vibe they're working on the LE because that's what i have Panda! Something is fishy going on! That's my thought to the Script Extender

I don't recall right off, but if you can get the game to at least 'load', the SKSE version should be visible on the loading screen if SKSE loads properly. There's also a console command you can use but that eludes me too.

What version of the game do you have?
Latest version of AE is 1.6.353 and requires SKSE vs 2.1.5
If you have 1.5.97 then SKSE vs 2.0.2.0 is required.
I just had to update mine not to long ago.

@LeapinL I got Legendary Edition, which contained all the sets in the box that I got it back in 2017.
The Game version I got is 1.9.32.0
I do not have the AE

strange you did mention, it because I used the one on Steam thinking it could be the problem so, I switch the one on Nexus.

Do you mean SKSE?
You were using the one on Steam and then switched to Nexus?

If you only have the game from 2017, you may want to think about upgrading to the Anniversary edition.
SE, gives you everything the Legendary Edition does + a few additional items and Anniversary edition gives you all that and more. It's only about $10 on steam.
And it will be updated.
I found a lot of the newer mods don't work on the older versions.

In any type of analysis it always comes down to cause and effect- with simple interworkings to the very complex; always keeping an open mind. :smile

Is everything working now? Since your using the Nexus version of SKSE? I usually get mine directly from Silverlock. If SKSE isn't loading then any script function calls that require it will fail with unpredictable results.

I would definitely recommend using from Silverlock. Downloading from Nexus for both Fallout 4 and Skyrim don't work right on Vortex unless you Manually download.

That's interesting. I've never looked at the structure of the compressed file on the Nexus to see what the difference might be. Unless MOx handles direct downloaded files different from ones added manually by the user- though I wouldn't think this since a single routine to handle both would be the better choice with less 'duplicated' code to maintain.

With the Manual download the files don't go in the same folder as the mods. I think it has something to do with how Vortex launches the game. There is a special "Tool" that you use to launch with F4SE.

That makes sense... I just create a priority list of executables to launch the game from and which ever one is intalled(F4SE for example) I launch. I think the official game launcher then the game executable is next. I actually did this for all cofigured games since some don't automatically start the official launcher when the game executable is started first like FO4 does. F4SE lauches the game without starting the official launcher so it can 'hook'(or 'inline' code change) can take effect.
