Internal plots

Was trying to put internal farming plots into a greenhouse and they hate walls. When you build an internal farming plot the backside is outside the wall, of course I attempted to put up the wall after you build the plot. The only work around I could come up with is to extend the floor behind the plot then build the wall otherwise the plot interferes with placing the wall. Of course the plot backside is now floating in the air rather than attached to the wall. If you build internal plots facing each other is there a recommended spacing umm walkway between the plots?
 
I'm not sure about the back wall issue, as I cannot recall having that issue (or noticing, anyway). As for the spacing, though, I have seen others build internal plots face to face. I prefer to put space between them, as it makes sense to me. The amount of space is all dependent on the size of the building. In general, I put a 1/2 x 1 space. I like using a slightly different texture to make them stand out a little. For example, if the main building uses standard wood, then I might use the barn floor for the walkway.
 
If you have Place Everywhere, disengage snapping (F2 on a pc). This will allow you to slide the plot around to position it. I also use the position keys to pull interior plots from the back (the ASAM is often buried in the wall) and the side attached to a wall.
 
With F2 in Place Everywhere disable the object trying to 'level' itself to a surface - on uneven ground this will be the highest point, near walls it may jump up as it thinks some part of the wall. F1 will disable the snapping and you can judge yourself where it needs to go, without it jumping about.

Another function of Place everywhere is the nudge functions using the keypad, (defaults to 1, increase with *, decrease with /, available steps 0.1, 0.5, 1, 5, 10, 50, 100 to move something one whole 'block' is 256) (up 8, down 2, towards 7, away 9, right 6, left 4 - 1 and 3 are used to scale the size of the object)
You could used these functions to shift the walls out by say 5 from the floors, that might give a little more room and should still not leave a gap. (you can shift the plot around using this too.

For walkway space it really depends on what building plan you choose, some have access all along the front, others through the middle from the ends, and some can be quite restrictive and a particular section of the front or ends.
You can overlap plot edges, you just have to have an idea of the layouts across the levels (and possible idle markers - invisible settler action markers).
 
Just a note on nudging plots with Place Everywhere, you will need to refresh the plot for everything to appear in the new positions, so don't get discouraged if only the "plot outline" moves with PE. You may need to repeat the nudge and refresh process a few times to get the plot exactly where you want it.

, and . are rotation keys and will rotate depending on what axis is being used (ctrl). There is a comprehensive list on the Nexus page. I've memorized 99% of it.
 
I would love a real 1X1 internal plot (res, commercial, industrial, ...) There are spaces (i.e. The Castle) that would benefit from a 1X1 Internal
There are a few add-ons that provide various 1x1 internal plots.



 
Let's not forget the granddaddy of them all: Sir Lach's Apocalyptic Additions Addon (Or AAA as I like to call it). He uses only 1x1 of the internal plot. His designs are very minimalists but he has beds for most of the factions and some that look great for specific people (a writer, a tech guy etc) that represent jobs in SS.
 
I have Tiny Living, but not the others. Tiny Living has the 1X1 but not internal that I can find in the list. I will got the others listed. Thanks.

1x1 internal is not a thing.

I mean it's a thing because of people like the ones who made the addons listed above. They all have options that can work as 1x1 internal plots. Some use the normal 1x1 and just design them without a roof, made to be used inside, others used the internal and only used a part of it. You'll have to read the titles and descrptions to see who did what.
 
People know a lot more about place anywhere then me i know know how to disengage snaps move and rotate. Had somebody tell me there’s a way to set height based on ground height as well so there is a lot of features that mod adds.

ive had the plot sticking out the back of the wall thing as well just wise place anywhere to move the object a few clicks from the wall should fix it for me it’s like 3-5 clicks.
 
I got it work... use a 1X1, then when it pops up with a light pole, delete just the light pole. It works! (I have neighboring power to the 1X1 in the Castle). Built an additional recreation plot.

If you have Bare Essentials installed, look at his option to have a "none" pole. It's worth it if you use 1x1 mainly for interiors or small spaces.

"Also included is a 'none' power pole for 1x1, 2x2 and 3x3 plots. After placing your first 1x1 residential plot, at the ASAM, select Advanced -> Default Power Pole -> None and any further 1x1 residential plots placed will not automatically place a power pole. This is useful if you plan on using a lot of 1x1 plots in an interior."

I use the Place Anywhere mod and when I have to turn off the "snapping" helps a lot with this problem but the downside is if you dont judge the thickness of the plot wall and floor before you place them you will end up too low or into the wall to far behind the plot, but its easy enough to adjust just have to tinker with it.
