Apologies for the spoilers, but for those of us that...
  • ... became aware of the concept of intelligent, sentient, sapient Deathclaws that aren't trying to rip us apart at first sight.
  • ... began the game in Fallout 1 in Vault 13 and eventually found their way back into someplace so meaningful to find something tangentially meaningful yet sad.
  • ... had a hand in helping such a beautiful concept as intelligent deathclaws and became entangled in their lives in a wholesome way.
  • ... were deeply unsatisfied with (And possibly even hurt by) the plotline of F2's Vault 13. I know I shed a tear from it.
  • ... want a way to recreate the awe of having intelligent Deathclaws in your midst,
  • ... and right the wrongs of the past, even if it's only a creative fictional venture.
... then this concept is for you!

The idea here is to have heard the story of Vault 13 from a traveling merchant, which gives you a new building template for a rocky structures that have a system of caves in it - Basically a miniature Vault 88 with smaller Vault 13 features leading to a rocky nest - Just something that would attract (Intelligent!) Deathclaws. Maybe a Deathclaw scout at first that would have words with you and establish some parameters to attract more of their kind. If the requirements were met, the scout would leave and bring the rest of their tribe.

Then perhaps if they had a nursery room, they could increase their population. They'd post a guard at the door to ensure the other settlers don't come near, but when they get content enough, the other settlers would accept the fact that they're not actively being massacred and would allow the Deathclaws in their midst.
Because let's face it - Having intelligent Deathclaw farmers, bartenders, and guards would be amazing. :vinsent

Now the only thing left is to figure out how to make a Deathclaw wear a cute little hat.

I personally love the intelligent deathclaws (also check out Deathclaw Desu Ga, if you haven't), but I'm not sure how well this would fit into the "core" of the mod. It does, however, sound like a great concept for an addon pack.

As far as i know there is only 1 surviving intelligent deathclaw and that is Goris.
id love to see Goris make a comeback into fallout and i can see him being a very interesting cityleader.
