Fixed Huge Input Lag after 3.03

I'm a Survival Mode snob so I think I'm hosed on this particular point of rolling back to a X.XX patch save. But after 1,780 hours in Fallout starting over isn't a big issue for me.

Besides, there was some learning to be had with my first foray into Sim Settlements that I would do differently. So no biggie.

That being said, if anyone has a suggestion on how to...rescue/enshrine/protect Survival Mode Save Files from patch to patch, I'm all eyeballs.

Yep, I'm good here too after doing the resaver fix and installing 3.0.3b.

I am, too. I refuse to play on any other mode. However, I do mod so I can fast travel and quicksave, as losing those two functions bugged the piss out of me after a while. I'm all for having to explore the land, and with the cell resets being longer means you can move about freely without much fuss after clearing areas, but when a Far Harbor settlement is under attack and I'm down by Murkwater, I get a little huffy having to walk all the way up there then all the way back to finish what I was doing. As for quicksaving, I'm also somebody who likes exploring every chat option =P.

I haven't had any major issues with save files breaking. I did once earlier this year, but before that and since I have been fine. I don't know if Survival mode has extra save crappery to it, but it doesn't hit that often, I think. Then again, my game crashes all the time regardless of what mods I have.

Just the general "don't upgrade with NMM" thing. I always delete the old mods and install the new ones, but now with SS I'm doing them manually.

I have been using NMM, but I'll do manual from now on for Sim Settlements specifically. I love this mod so much. Donations have been made.

Donations will be continue to be made.

Vertibird (or teleport) for the win! Still takes time, sure, but if I'm BOS or MM on my playthrough I just roll play the General/Sentinel riding around strategically observing his territory with his own eyeballs. Takes me back to Iraq.

On PC, you can kill the script causing this lag - on Xbox, you'll definitely want to roll back.

1. Download and install Fallrim Tools
2. Open Resaver.exe, load your latest save file.
3. Expand ActiveScripts, search for any entries of "SimSettlements:SimSettlementParent"
4. Expand each of those and look for "SetupCurrentMaintenanceCosts", if you find it, right click on the folder icon above it and choose terminate.
5. Click File->Save
6. Install 3.0.3b of Sim Settlements if you haven't already and load your save.
Yikes! No way to "roll back" on the Xbox!

XBox doesn't have multiple save slots?
I'd still be using the same version of the mod. I can't go back to an earlier version once I download it.

I happen to be on Survival mode for all my playthru's, which limits me to 3 rotating saves. I'm 99% certain that all 3 of my saves are post patch.

OH, I see, try upgrading to 3.0.3b, then rolling back to a save from 3.0.2.

That way you have the new scripts, and the save that starts won't already have the ongoing infinite loop.

Edit: I didn't read the second half of your message carefully. So ignore me, sorry

Thanks, mytigio, but I'll need to start a new save because all of mine are 3.0.3 - I don't have any from 3.0.2. NBD! The character I am using was set up specifically as my test character for this!

I didn't realize xbox did that with 3 rolling saves. I wonder if PC has 3, I never bother to go in and look at my save files on survival as I assumed there was just the exitsave or the sleep save.

The 3 save limit is only in Survival mode, it's not an XBox limitation. The sleep save will only save 3 times before it overwrites the oldest, which is why I no longer have a 3.0.2 save available. Given the unstable nature of FO4 anyway, plus the crashes in Sim Settlements at the moment, I tend to sleep a little more frequently than I might normally.

Ooh that's rough limitation. Might be worth getting a mod to re-enable saving for a bit. In these early weeks right after a major patch, there end up being lots of strange bugs.

Fixed for me thanks guys. I was already on 3.03a I think but doing the resaver and going to b was enough to fix problem. Hopefully I dont have a molten slag of a save coming in my future. ;)

If not, cmon back. (and you're totally welcome to hang out if you want regardless!)
