Would be nice if head quarters was more automated. It's a bit too much micro management.

Is this sarcasm? HQ is almost completely automated at this point. You have to do the tutorial manually, and a few other HQ projects later on the quest line as new concepts for HQ are introduced, but I just finished a playthrough with a fully built up HQ and did almost none of it manually.

Are you using version 3.3.0 or later? That's when HQ automation was added.

that would explain it. I was playing on a version 3.2.2.
