Happiness modifications from plots were not working at all. It was my experience that the plots needed to be refreshed after the hotfix in order to reinstate the bonuses.

Oh, thank you. I forgot about the refresh plots option in holotape. I didn't do that.

Maybe that's why I noticed zero happiness change after installing the patch version.

hmm I got the other update in the game mod section and it seemed to work (for happiness anyway after I refreshed them , I did them manually and individually) but the new one isnt showing in the mod section. SO I guess go through Nexus.

I was able to download the 2.1.4b optional from Nexus last night ok.

Question though - what changed re: the happiness fix specifically? e.g. was it fixed because we got no happiness, too much, or too little?

Because I've been playing most of last night and part of today with 2.1.4b and have noticed no changes to how my settlements are happy or not. e.g. no large increase or decrease.

Same here. Were we supposed to uninstall 2.14 first? I thought this was just a patch to overlay but it seemed awfully big. I have refreshed all the plots since the update, too.

It's a full standalone copy of Sim Settlements with no requirements. You do not need 2.1.4 to play 2.1.4b.

Refreshing plots after a patch is always a good idea.

update - after I did refresh all local plots at each of my settlements, I then saw my happiness score changing
