Hotfix 2.0.0e

Ok also with this newest hotfix So I started the hq quest after this was installed basically I cleaned the area built Mansfield’s office then it said build living quarters so I cleaned that area but when I tried to build I only have 50 facility energy out of 60 needed and no idea how to get more so I’m stuck on the build living quarters. Anything to do with the gnn was started after this hotfix so nothing to do with gnn was started before this.
It means either some number of people never were correctly assigned to HQ, which screams script lag to me.

My 2 cents on the save game issue,
After installation of Chapter 2 in area's with activity, like Sanctuary, standing in front of the bridge towards Red Rocket the game would freeze as soon I tried to save.
In area's with no activity for example inside a building, game would save and go back to the menu after a waiting period.
So I started to experiment a bit, till I became at a point that I removed the usb gamepad connection during a save. When I did that, the game saved immediately and going back to the menu like always. I then went ahead shut down the game and unplugged my phone as well. After a restart I plugged them both in again, fired up the game and continued. Since that moment I have no save game issues anymore. It saves just as fast as it did before on my system.
The result might be influenced because I also disabled / enabled the mod RAW Input & Raw Input stuttering fix. I am still using the mod Autoswitch, to switch from Gamepad to keyboard / mouse on the fly. In Buffout 4 I have the switch tweak set to false.
Sorry I can't provide a log or something, I didn't expect this outcome, thought I would share it anyway. I did all this on Hotfix 2.0.0d.

So I figured it out by assigning mala to the leader job and everybody else are assigned as employees and I got enough energy that way. Now I’m stuck on jakes quest to build an power transfer room the quest marker is in between floors in the basement in an area I can’t reach.

so basically if you need energy m.a.l.a has like 15 strength so making them leader does the trick. Now it’s just a waiting game for resources to fill so I can make living quarters again and other facilities. In between waiting I just use the energy to clean rooms and assign them as specific areas like jakes room adins room and so on.

Oops I probably forgot to move the marker to one of the accessory objects instead of the room itself. The room you can build that at by default is the Northwest Entryway room in the basement.

Ok good to know right now I called it quits have work for a few days, I noticed after screwing around a while you could clean areas and then just use the little display to pick what is built in them or change what you picked. The hq system is a lot to take in in a short time so before I get frustrated enough to nuke everybody, I just save turn it off and do something else a while then come back and try a new angle to figuring it out.

im waiting on somebody to do a diy thread on the hq system or better yet a video.

HQ was designed to be relatively pressure free so folks could experiment with it and learn as they go - since its a lot to take in. You can change out your department make-up and swap out room designs any time you like.

If you get tired of the wait times, you can even override the day long timer for jobs in the settings under Gameplay > HQ.

I imagine we'll see heavy documentation appearing on the Wiki and forums as more people wrap their heads around it all - or after I can lock down a graphic artist to help make some diagrams to simplify the explanations...

If the player has turned off the disease system, when arriving at a settlement, any settlers who were previously infected will now be cured of all diseases.

I downlanded the newest patch and my settlers are still not cured. Plus i never get the option to heal them. I have played with the options and that hasn't helped. Any suggests please.

Could you send me a save file? The only reason I can think this wouldn't work, is if your save is in a state where enter settlement triggers aren't firing any longer.

can confirm this as well I have the same thing my save has about 100 mods mostly all the addon packs and weapon replacers. But I turned off the system and when visiting a settlement I get sick and immobilized still. Worst part is every other settlement has a hospital and the others have chem dealers so it should be covered for the cleanliness bar on hud but I get like 50% max.

Yes i have way more that 100 mods - plus i have hospitals, clinics and sanatation and nobody getting better.

Might i suggest more Endurance plots. Endurance helps so they dont die i think and i dont have much of them dying on me and whenever i make a new settlement i go all in on sanitation before i populate it. It helped i think since way back on my old save with 10 settlements when they released Ch2 i saw deaths everywhere "hahaha good bye save, too horrible to micro manage all of them at the same time and add the fact that im on survival.".

Theresa's room is being weird and the downstairs females bathroom. When i make a 4 settler room there it spawns on Theresa's room and the bathroom is empty and whenever i upgrade Theresa's room the menu still asks me to upgrade it another time. Im thinking of leaving the two rooms untouched for now coz back then i came back to HQ and everything is empty. Not sure if thats it but yeah thought id share.

Edit:
Oh and i refreshed the room and the one that refreshed was Theresa's room and i didnt even clean that room for experimenting and the 4 bed plot is showing as the barracks plot and overlapping with the uncleaned Theresa's room. Huds says i have 4 more settler space but yeah like i said the bathroom is empty and Theresa's uncleaned room being weird.

Same here, thought everything was fine till i tried upgrading her room and got a "couldn't find the room". And when HQ gets weird, rooms acting weird, max numbers dropping and logistics failing, to try assigning staff to administration causes Theresa to get unassigned.

I've had the issue going on 3 days (real time) hoping to see it get fixed in a hotfix. In game, it's been about two weeks and I've been messing around with other quests in that time. I've started from before that quest each time a new hotfix has come out but haven't had any luck. I tried recruiting my allies before I turned in lupe and that didn't work either. That said ive been lucky enough to also get practically every other bug too so i'm not surprised to be having another hard stop lol
Did you make the same stupid mistake as me and not actually installed Chapter 2? Chapter 2 is it's own installation. I saw Chapter 2 was out as well, and that the Sim Settlements 2 + Framework had an update in Vortex. I assumed that was the the Chapter 2 update.. nope..

I also been playing for a week now wondering why the story wasn't advancing haha...

I actually restarted my playthrough to hunt down whats causing it and those rooms are the one being weird "Theresa's room and the lower female restroom". Tried not touching Theresa's room and tried to test the Haunted Restroom but that room is confirmed weird too when i turn it to a living quarter. Havent really tried turning it to a normal restroom, will continue testing.

Found another one being weird. The big room next to Theresa's room is haunted too. Made a 4 settler room and it spawned on Theresa's room again. I think that whole floor is being weird.

Woops replied to myself like an idiot. Thought i was replying on General Ilene. Lmao.

I've had the Chapter 2 file since it dropped. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times now to no avail. Do we know if there are any mods in particular that could break the start of "End of the Beginning"?

If you find rooms building strangely, it could be a bug in our setup. There's an extra step we have to do to make room designs universal so they work in any similarly shaped room- and if that step was missed the items will always try and go where they were placed in our design cell. To report these, make a new report here https://simsettlements.com/site/index.php?forums/ss2-questions/

Include a screenshot of where the room is you tried to build, the name of the project you tried to run, and a screenshot of the room the items ended up in. The screenshots will help a lot, since so many of the rooms can end up dynamically renamed as you play.
