Tonight's hotfix 1.0.0c (version 5 for Xbox) resolves the following:

  • Fixed a bug where, under certain conditions, the industrial plot construction would not be detected by Plotting the Future, resulting in the quest failing to continue.
  • Tweaked the quest Suburban Distburbance so it can conclude even if Nail falls through the world due to a mod conflict.
    • If you had an issue where the objective marker seemed to move a lot, it should theoretically be stable now for you to reach. Though we were unable to replicate this issue - so the cause and fix are speculative right now.
  • Tweaked the scene in Casting a Line where Old Paul warns of raiders, the tweak is an attempt to prevent a corner-case where he repeats the line and then becomes unresponsive.
  • The Unlock All Tools cheat now functions correctly.
    • This unlocks all the craftable items at the City Planner’s Desk that are normally unlocked throughout the main quest.
  • [PC Only] Restored a number of missing dialogue lines from Sickle and Old Paul. These are non-quest related lines used for making the character feel more lively.
    • XBox Players - these will be restored for you as well once we solve some of our space issues.
  • Added cooldown to Lily and Old Paul’s idle dialogue to make them repeat the same lines less frequently.
  • Updated objectives for “Picking Up the Pieces” to make it more clear what you’re supposed to do.

We are definitely getting out of hotfix territory here as many of the remaining issues being reported are starting to look like mod conflicts.

Please continue to post them though, and as the support team find repeatable issues, I'll take care of them!

the quest grey matters is bugged, when it asks you to "See what's happening downstairs" a lot of people is just standing and nothing happens

  • Added cooldown to Lily and Old Paul’s idle dialogue to make them repeat the same lines less frequently.
Thank you very much for that. Lily was already driving me crazy with her chatter, given the impossibility of relocating her, I decided to take extreme measures, but as it turned out she was essential :D

Her chronic chipperness is almost as annoying as Marcy's chronic bitchiness. :D

I am indeed stuck with the quest not continuing after putting down the first industrial plot. Now, that it got a fix, do i simple cancel or abort the quest and hope I can restart it?
im totally blown away but what you and your team put together.

Beste wishes from Germany,

Excellent. My new main character, Nico Silver, is about to enter Sickle's Basement. In my test character the Super Mutant's voices were quite low volume-wise. I'll see if perhaps this might have solved itself here by circumstance.

I'm actually experiencing this same thing with the very first residential plot quest. I make the beacon, I meet the quest giver, I take the ASAM, I place the plot, it even builds itself up, and then nothing. Can't speak to the quest giver or anything to make the quest advance.

If it's just me, I'd appreciate it if I could get a safe console command to advance. Thanks!

After completing the agricultural plot, I can't get any quests going. So far they're suggesting a way to use the console, but is there anything XBOX can do to help?

For those of you having issues with quests, I really need save files to investigate these further. If you are on Xbox, encourage anyone on PC you see having made threads about those issues to send me their save files.

Using console commands to bypass these quests is often going to break things worse - best to wait for a hotfix.

Yes, yes and again...YES! Old Paul folowing me around like a bad smell and constantly yammering about history books, scav fever and whatever else got so annoying I shot the old coot and left him in the street. What was really amusing was Preston telling me to save my ammo.

I am stuck on the Casting a Line story. Old Paul is still warning of raiders and then become unresponsive.

Anybody able to find the blueprints at vault 81? I can't find out who to talk to
You need the files you get from the quest where you and jake go to the vaultech basement in order for any kind of quest to start when you talk to the new vice overseerer dude. If you are like me and ditch all your stuff after quests you will be stuck trying to find where you put them for a few hrs. I think the best option would be if they where marked as quest item and you can’t remove them till you get the quest
