This is the only unit that seems to have the problem as all the other home from the mod look just fine. I was hoping someone might have a fix for this as it seems to happen no matter what mods i have or don't have running or even if it's a fresh play through or not.

Did you use NMM to install it? do a manual install. The way i packed it has been working, but your the 2nd person to report this and it was due to the files being misplaced during installation. will upload a better archive now.

Alternatively you can just re download from nexus as its been fixed.

im not admitting any fault here. maybe i purposely made the house purple?

I am still getting a texture bug. The wood is multicolored. I deleted and reinstalled and it was still occurring. Just wanted toss it out there

@iramike can you post a screenshot? There are a few texture bugs that can happen, some are vanilla weirdness (like texture flickering), some are video card based (like the rainbow effect) and others are texture based (like the purple texture bug)

Funny thing, as soon as I got that message, I was just getting ready to do that. I have a GTX 1060, just for FYI

Its the rainbow bug. its a bug in the game and how it handles your ba2 archive files. Google will show you your not alone. You can use bethesda archive extractor to extract the kevbal - main.ba2 and the kevbal -textures.ba2 and just manually install.

Yep that fixed it. Thanks for the info, I've never done that before, also learned something new today.

i personally have to extract all my fallout4 textures.ba2's to fix mine. i get rainbows on everything no matter what my settings. sometimes 5 mins into gameplay, other times 20+hrs.

Ive been working on a fix for the log textures... Today I completed that fix. have a few minor tweaks to make and then ill upload them. As of now my copy has 0 rainbow effects using only the ba2 archives which is ideal for you and I. Hope to get this patch out this weekend.

I'll give it a try when you do. I have 950+ hours played and this is the first time I've had the rainbow bug and only on two of your houses (AFrame and Brick house). At certain distances they looked fine, moving closer or further away gave the rainbows.

lol you should never of had it on the brick house. it only exists in the log mesh. and its not my bug its fallouts.

Hi. Your houses look great, finally those lazy settlers build some real houses!

Anyway, I found something strange in the textures of your buildings; I took a screenshot

Thank you for the explanation of the rainbow texture bug. I've never run into it before and it was so strange that sometimes I would open the game and everything would be fine, then I would go back later and it would be rainbow sparkly. I've spent so much time trying to figure out what mod was causing the problem. I have extracted the ba2 files and everything is beautiful now!
