Help in game crashes

Hi guys,

I believe I have something wrong with my game save and I am asking for some help to look into cleaning my game save. At first I believed it was my computer but I am running a 6 core i7 8700 3.2 GHz with 4.6 GHz turbo boost, a 1080 with 16 GB of ram. I used LOOT mod manger to ensure my load order was OK. My trouble shooting started with my load order and the most recent mod I installed was the workshop framework. I don't want to disable this mod but I will note these crashes started after installing this mod. So my hopes is someone can look at my game save file we can look and see if in fact this is related to the workshop framework.

I will note I am not that mod savvy so I only use Bethesda mods not nexus.

Here is my load order

Did you update the UFO4P to 205a?
IF so that is your issue. From what I read it changes some workshop scripts that this relies on. If you have 205 still, go back to it and you should be fine. At least for me it is. I read in another post 204, but I guess that would depend on what you updated it from.

I also have not installed workshop framework on an existing game as I am afraid something new like this would screw something up.

205a only affected to Mechanist lair door and reversed fix to Raider torso armor.

205 made fed changes to WorkshopParentScript. It would be bad luck for game to hang from them, but I did somehow manage to see my own WPS going wild after update. I am not 100% sure it was the reason, but something went off for sure.

I do not recognize any issues from the load order. When exactly is the game crashing?

Hello Ilja,

I did disable workshop framework and my crashing stopped. In fact I have almost the whole map running the city plans with no issues after disabling it. I noticed the crashes within 10 minutes of any game play at random times. I would literally be questing and as I'm walking not doing anything crazy my app would completely close. The only consistent thing is 5-10 minutes I can expect a crash with WSFW enabled.

a mod like workshop framework is a major change to the game and most likely not recommended on existing game. If and when I start a new game I am going to give it a try.

Yeah I'm on the fence about starting a new game over this right now. I don't use nexus yet so if I do I'd like to use start me up or something because the first 40 hours or so of the game I've done like 6 times already lol

I watched the video section on that. They say give it a update or two, and it should be fine.

Important.

Your crashes might be related to infinite loop, which was found from Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch. Kinggath has used the code in Workshop Framework.

Patch 1.0.2 is online. However, Nexus version number has not been changed, so it will not appear as updated file at this moment. KG has been notified about this.

I strongly recommend updating Workshop Framework. If crashing is related to this loop, then your save files might require cleaning, if update does not solve the problem outright.
