Grrrrrr, Caravans and caps?

Caravans and caps share Caps? with settlements? i have few link settlements with nothing but few guns and a link to the Caravan tree and annoying as hell i keep losing my connection to Caravan lines this a bug or whats going on grrr
-Oh and is Hangsman ally in range of the castle ?

I've recently turned operation costs back on and yes, caravan links drop a lot. Figured it's because they need caps and a small amount of building mats (1 or 2 materials for level 1 plot). And building mats tend to get completely depleted if you don't have enough of them across the settlements. That or maybe it really is caps. Those come only from commercial and residential plots IIRC. So if you don't have at least a couple of those in a settlement, caravan can break.
Can probably just donate caps to each settlement but I've stopped doing that long ago and not sure how long it'd last.
Don't think Hangman's connects to Castle but might be wrong.

thanx, my pc sucks so i try to go small and have key settlements do different things not working out well for me

Kinda same, well it all depends on what you build, some things (especially advanced and hi-tech) require A LOT of materials, both to build and upkeep, and building ones go down first. But normally a level 3 building mats gathering plot should be enough to cover several settlements. And 1-2 commercial plots in each of them for caps. At least that's my impression from very limited playtime with costs enabled. Can always turn them off but then storage just fills up and stays there until you decide to build something, then fills up again like it's nothing.

Logistics station 2 may be a good addition for your settlement setup. It allows setup over longer distances like the castle to hangmans , it also seems to keep the lines more stable on my end as well you can occasionally still get resource drop offs like it’s not counting them. But that clears up pretty fast in most cases.

no not really that one makes me random crash all the time
