Grave for Nate (spouse). Is there interest - I make mod for players to bury husband/wife?

I would set this up as a series of tiny mods. Grave placed in settlement - nw corner of map, to start. Suggestions? Attached twp pics, makeshift grave made in-game with workshop.

I like this idea. Always thought it was odd that you just leave your wife/husband to rot in the vault.
Agreed. Feel same way.

From a role-play (and storytelling) perspective: the horror of seeing your spouse shot and killed, right in front of you, helpless to do anything - heart rending angst immediately followed by fear - am I next? Sleep. Then, you wake again, and quickly discover 'your' vault is full of bodies that have been dead for decades - and giant roaches. Vault walls are rusty... Shock, denial. Am I delusional? Go outside, and your comfortable, cozy, safe neighborhood is ... So maybe it takes a while to go back and give your spouse's corpse a proper burial.

You're right - v111 Survivor would eventually do it. Now I have to fugure out how to mod it for all the v111 survivors...

You're right, the emotional turmoil might lead one to just want to escape the vault initially but they'd definitely go back to put their spouse to rest after coming to terms with everything.
Maybe after completing Out of Time. I think it'd make more sense after rescuing Preston and returning to Sanctuary but that might turn off people who hate Preston.

Excellent idea, regarding timing. Thank you.

I think most players who hate Preston actually hate getting sucked into settlement quests that feel timed on a count down. Personally, I hate going to Sanctuary - too many of Preston's crew are depressing - or verbally hostile.

Indeed. My first playthrough I thought over time I'd come back and they'd change. Character growth and what not. Nope, Jun is always a wet blanket and Marcy is..well...she's something all right. Lost opportunity, I think.

... should be exiled to ... far, far, away. And yes, npc's generally don't have an over-arching development arc. [sad face]
I used to always make her a provisioner on non-Sim Settlements characters and shoot her if i saw her out and she insulted me. Lol
As for character development, seems like it would have been an easy thing to toss in some latter dialogue and change their facial expressions. Something so small could have made added more depth to the game, especially since it seemed, to me anyway, that the Concord 5 are more important that they actually are initially.

Too bad I role-play ~ RL. Won't kill her - but exile...

Concord five - could really be the core of a gr8 settlement / team, IF they learned how to grow up.

I think Beth Games wanted to make them annoying.
<rant begins>
Marcy - say something nice - or say nothing. Freekin leave me alone!
Jun - you had your alone time - now move on already.
Mama Murphy - just say no to drugs - I already have one corpse - my dead spouse - to deal with.
Sturges - annoying to the max. I just built you a fine settlement - lights, water, defenses, nice beds, scavenger bench, paintings, radio, TV (LOL) - and you tell me where the workbench is? And when I'm done - you have the gall to invite me to live here? BTW, that's MY HOUSE across the street - like for over 210 years. (And you know this 'cause I told Preston this while you were walking with us from Concord.)

That's exactly what I thought their purpose was initially. To intrduce settlements and form the core of your own Fallout town with named characters like Diamond City or something.
Nope, just annoying people that bang on the walls.

Yeah, that's just ridiculous. It's MY town and you're all just living in it. Lol
