Getting ASAMs to actually rebuild the commonwealth

The Mod bills itself as being able to help you rebuild the commonwealth.
So then lets talk about ASAMs and how expensive they are.

Crafting an ASAM takes
  1. Aluminum (building mat) (uncommon) (shipment of 50 at 1950)
  2. Circuitry (machine part) (rare) (shipment of 25 at 1625)
  3. Crystal (rare mat) (rare) (shipment of 25 at 1495)
  4. Fiber Optics (rare mat) (rare) (shipment of 25 at idk)
  5. 2 Plastic (machine part) (common) (shipment of 25 at 195)
  6. 2 screw (machine part) (uncommon) (shipment of 25 at 1040)
All of these materials tend to skew toward "rare" instead of "common", which means its going to be more challenging to actually acquire ASAMs.

You could always buy the shipments you need to craft them, but without factoring in Fiber Optics (I don't have access to the merchants to check prices) you would need to spend 525 caps per ASAM (vs 62 when buying them individually). This also doesn't factor in perks. Im also basing the 525 on buying 1 of each shipment and crafting 12 ASAMS, but the 525 doesn't include the price of a shipment of Fiber Optics averaged out. If you buy 2 shipments of Plastic and Screws, it drops the average to around 300 CAPS (again without Fiber Optics).

Why am I going through all of this? Because this seems like an oversight.

In my original playthrough of FO4, I had 10-20 settlers at 25 of the 30 base game settlements. Even with high tier multi-family residential plots, thats 62 ASAMS just for housing and nothing else. Power, water, and defense at each is another 75 ASAMS. The mod doesn't seem to scale with the game and the rate at which you get access to settlements.

Maybe that will come out in the next update/chapter.

There is a mod up on nexus that changes the build materials. I haven't tried it myself. I buy asam's off vendors, chalk up Sickle, or I think its in one of the add on packs there is a commercial plot that is vending machines. Its really well done.... once you get the plot to lvl 3 you can pump some coin into one of the vending machines for asams. Only 40 caps per asam !... they do sell out though if you buy too many, but they refresh after while.
