I will move it to the correct one :)

Have you tried Verifying Game Installation?

yes. this video shows everthing I dun so far.

Does it crash when you hit continue?

Can you look at this guide and go through it all but look closely at the items i have listed.

Increasing The Chances of a Smooth Game Play GA_Darkerside (WIP)
1)
Backup.
2) Save Overload.
3) Saving the Game Safely.
4) Save Games Monitoring.
5) Memory (DDR and Graphic Cards).
6) Game files.
7) Mods.
(a) Choosing
(b) Installing
(c) Dangers of some mods

Also in you video, you did not carry out the Steam Process of Verifing Game Files
Shown in Guide here: 6) Game files.

I didn't film verifying. but I did do it sevrel times. I've also deleted and reinstalled 3 times. At the 5:19 mark you can see where game crashers. Points 3, 5 & 6 are mentioned in the video I believe. and cant do much of anything else dew to game not working.

I will watch it when I get home.

For now I will suggest the ridiculous.

do a surch and leave nothing steam or Fo4 on the install drive. I really mean nothing.

Clean install steam then the game.. try it?

no go? then

Go to your data folder and pullout the creation club content that auto downloads. Cut it out and paste it to a folder on your desktop. I had a issue reinstalling recently as my steam account had gotten corrupted and caused all kinds of issues when starting a new FO4 game.

Why I said keep it is if the game runs the first time see what happens when you put it back? or not?

That, for dog :) knows how or why it got mine working.

My apologies, but I had to ask so I knew.

Second apology is my sound wasn't working at the time I looked at the video. To explain, I have an office and my dog often curles up under my desk, occasionally he pulls out the control feed wire from my base box and cuts all the sound, it wasn't till this morning, did I realise he had done it again.

Thing is, I had this issue, as soon as I went for the panel the game crashed or sometimes it crashed before, however there are always multiple reasons, so we just have to work through in order.

So could you strip out your save games and put them in a backup folder:
Increasing The Chances of a Smooth Game Play
1)
Backup.

You can put them back a little later, but for some reason Fallout suffers with a weird gltich with saves (very rare though).

Try the game.

Rather then me write loads I need to know a few things
1) Graphics Card, also have you got two or more? AMD Crossfire or Nividia SLI
2) Do you have any mods?
3) Is this a clean install or have you had mods and removed them?
4) Have you installed any Creation Club stuff?

Sorry but its hard to find the issue without drilling down further. Bethaesda runs off of a template response and due to the age of Fallout 4 won't apply any patches to the game, you will always recieve a generic response, that to be honest, often then not, wont work.

Tried moving CC content to new folder. nothing different.
1- NVIDIA
2- mods cant remember all 5 names but here are some I do remember. 1: sim settlements x3, 2: Work shop extended
3- Tried both. at this point mods removed
4- pretty much all CC content. except the latest stuff

1- NVIDIA
Nvida has I think "Nvidia Control Panel". As I mainly deal with AMD, I do think Nvidia has Game profiles and a Global profile, you need to make sure that if the Fallout 4 profile is there, it is disabled.

On the Global Side, make sure everything is off or set to Application

2- mods cant remember all 5 names but here are some I do remember. 1: sim settlements x3,
What manager do you use and do you have F4SE installed. I am sure you don't need it for Sim Settlements, but you might for the other mods.

Work shop extended
Do you mean Manufacturing Extended?

3- Tried both. at this point mods removed
Again if you removed mods then this may be a problem.

4- pretty much all CC content. except the latest stuff
I hate CC stuff, ever since for some unknown Bethesda reason, one screwed up my game, so unlike Bethesda to have bugs.

If you had mods and deleted your ini files, as I think they told you too, that will break the mods.

My only idea on this is to start afresh, but my fresh way, not theirs lol

1) Backup your saves (In Guide Above) but move them to a seperate location in My Documents - Reason Below.
2) Strip the game out and when I mean strip, I mean everything. Uninstall the normal way then look at these places, delete anything left:
(Installed Drive Letter):\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout 4
(Installed Drive Letter):\Users\(PC Name)\AppData\Local\Fallout4
C:\Users\(PC Name)\Documents\My Games\Fallout4 (Remember to have moved the entire Saves Backup Folder into My Documents first)
3) Do a search for "Fallout 4" on all drives (unless everything is installed on your windows drive)
4) Remove those files - if found

Now we are clean
1) re-install game + DLC (If you have any) but NOT any CC content - which should be gone by now.
2) Go to the Nvidia Control Panel - Disable Fallout 4 profile (If its there)
3) Look at Global settings - Turn any to "off" or to "Use Application Settings"
4) Run Game

Let us know.

My feeling are, that if you installed Mods, some of the things you have done my have cause corruption.

However, before you do anythin of the above - please have a play with the Control Panel first

this is where im at.

need upto 5 hours for reinstall

I have a bug that brakes my game and corrupted my files. The bug is when i make some one leader the game keeps spamming the message nonstop. I tried everything and it would stop. Can you guys plz help me? Xbox 1 user.

This looks like a basic crash that happens when one of your .esp files is missing a required .esp or .esm file, are you using a mod manager for your mods? If so, does it give you any load order warnings? Are you using the fallout 4 script extender to load your game?

Sadly that’s not it
I’m a xbox 1 gamer. That couldn’t be because I downloaded it for the mods area. 2 no i dont use mod manager.

zzzspina, to add on to what GA_D has already said.

Sorry, I did not reply sooner. :bye

I would have recommended going one step further. Steam has to run in the background and sometimes things go wrong with steam. If what you are doing now does not work my suggestion is to also clean out steam off your hard drive. :moil

so next possible troubleshooting steps:
****Do what GA said and put any saves from other games in a safe place****

Use windows uninstall from the control panel:
upload_2019-2-6_20-27-0.png

Then select the "Gear" you should see this:
upload_2019-2-6_20-28-31.png
Now you have some choices:

I would remove :shedevil
Steam
Any Mod Organizer
All Nvidia Apps and drivers

upload_2019-2-6_20-31-21.png

Manually cleanout any of the associated files as GA_ D said. :shedevil
I would remove "any files in the windows My Games Folder"

Then re-install:

1) Nvidia drivers
settings see starting at about 17min for video settings :cool

2) Steam

3) FO4, I recommend not using the HD-DLC :mosking

Run the game the first time from inside steam.

If FO4 does run from inside of steam "good" :good

Make one save now! And copy it to your perfect safe place. You may need it later.

There should also now be 2 ini folders in your windows "My Games" Folder. This is Good!

:pilotThen we can talk about mods, making your game ready for mods, and what mod organizer to try. :friends

:aggroIf still not good - Well, if this does not work, then if it was me......

:sad Now my own opinion. I do a clean install of windows around once a year as maintenance. This is a habit from old days of windows and gaming. This is your nuclear option but.........
I am not going to say that is what you should do, this is your choice....:whistle3 but......

BTY, Major Bravo on using Videos!

this computer is just for gaming. apart from the games and gaming platforms. I don't really have anything on here I need. would it just be easyer to format and reinstall everything. Here is the latest video of where I'm at after the reinstall of fallout 4.

There was no option when reinstalling to not install CC content or Mods. if there is please let me know.

hahaha, I can't see what is in the data folder.

1. Take all the files Cut and Paste out of the data folder that start with "cc" and make a safe folder on your desktop and save them there.

upload_2019-2-6_22-13-22.png

2. G-force don't worry about that yet :) Just make sure the driver is up to date:

upload_2019-2-6_22-17-17.png

You will want to come back and hit optimize after we get the 1st game save.

3: The ini folder is fine. We are not ready to add a "Fallout4Custom.ini" folder yet.

Let's go slow. Take the "cc" content out of data folder. everything else leave default.

Now try to start the game...?????

Still, better to reinstall steam first before you consider if to clean install windows.

just tried taking all CC content out and optimized and game worked fine. then I put the CC content back and not working again. So it pretty much means what ever the last thing I got from CC is the culprit.

OK OK OK Just restarted my computer and it seems to be working fine. YHANK YOU ALL.
