Every single time I check the map on my Pip-Boy the "settler"-count for conquered settlements changes. It ranges from everywhere between 0 and 15. But when I then come to the settlement it is always the same amount. Pretty confusing. Does this have to do with supplies or recruitment?

Yeah, I cannot trust the pipboy for settler # or their happiness or even what's making them unhappy. The HUD while in the settlement works, so I'm guessing it's pulling data from some other place.
