Flickering Lights, Some things in between!

No.1 this isnt to complain about this mod for the 100th or even 1,000 Time but I will give you some advice to make it BETTER.
Step one IF you use player comments. Set the hot key to have your player SHUT UP ((IF YOU DONT YOU WILL BREAK THE QUEST)) Why? because your character developes bubzy syndrome, wont shut the hell up
No.2 When you get neil to his first objective, then Turn off the light he was Just at.. Wait until this idiot finally Shuts up. Now Turn on the Wrong light.. Why? Sometimes ((rarely)) Turning the Right one even IF you do it proper you have ALL the bug fixing patches the idiot will die ..for..some reason. So trun the wrong one on have him complain then Do the right one.
No.3 Even with 10 charisma ((IF you play as nate)) your character will fumble the speech check..somehow? Use Xcell Dont ask why it works..it just does ¯\(ツ)
No.4 IF you are a a "Classy" person like myself, use things like AAF...OR Looksmenu.. for thee uh "Immersion"..? sure why not. and you have baka AND buffout Please make sure you Also check further down in Buffouts .ini it will read to add a crash related fix for both of these mods. Set it to True. ((trust me itll save you a bit of time in loadscreens, random crashing))
No.5 Lastly for buff out The instructions state to set baka's memory to 4.. make sure you edit the correct one.. I didnt and had a miserable time with it
No.6 Lastly for flickering Lights..Or any quest really where the NPCs wont move. Dont panic. Find a bed..a chair or use a mod called wait anywhere, just wait/sleep 1 hour. The "stuck" npc Will move to there correct spot, progress your quest!
No.7 After you finish chapter one Go through SS2 setup, make sure to turn OFF starting level plots it seems to break HQ in some spots, later quests ((No more spoilers sorry!))
And final notes: If anyone wants to add to this PLEASE do! if this has helped anyone ((Number 7 was NOT my find.. i forgot who posted that little fix on the forum IF you find this post claim the credit you deserve! the rest was me trial,erroring the quest about 30 times))

I'm not sure how that happens, never occured to me but could be worth testing. 100% wait for him to finish lines before pushing buttons. Other than that, yeah, good calls :)

That shouldn't affect HQ in any way but some other place.. yeah.

Weirdly its mainly Aiden Who refuses to move during this quest the mans turns into a boulder, wont move. it Does also help during vanilla quests too, its mainly sometimes ((RARE)) Neil will keep talking saying how the ghoul is close, he can hear it etc, urging you to press Something.. it overlaps kinda..odd
 
Could this be related to player comments too? Or some other mod? There was another player who had the exact thing with Aiden (and not him alone I think) but I've not seen anything like it.
 
Tbh I never had issue with npcs not moving while using player comments BUT that never rules a mod out to be incompatible If player comments is the root cause i have 0 issue to drop it like a stone. ive already dropped crime, punishment for the fact its a huge script mod, SS2 is doing much better without it.
 
Could be something different. Either way the moment you disable a mod that save becomes unplayable and you should start a new game. So only for 'testing purposes". And with how long it takes to get to chapter 3 organically.. it sucks if it comes to that.

oh nono I dont disable player comments Out of my load order theres a setting in the MCM to just have your character shutup until you decide to let them speak again, you can hot key it, thats the route i usually take
 
New discovery! ((that worked semi for me)) Click aiden ((with console open)) if hes refusing to move type recycleactor. DO NOT PANIC he will Disappear. Thats OK wait until a few seconds later when the script says aiden is supposed to be there. BAM he reappears with 0 issue, he moves!! ((sadly he will be missing his eyepatch I got you dont worry. Now open console type help eyepatch 4, you should get his eyepatch ID ok ez enough if aidens still clicked type his refid, then .additem [eyepatchdref id] its like player.additem command but instead of you getting an eyepatch aiden gets it instead and now hes back to being a grumpy pirate))
 
I dont either.. Ngl BUT if you use it at the beginning and proceed down the stairs it will cause aiden to reappear as the script id assume is calling for aiden to be there, so bam hes there.
