Favorite screenshots?

I know this is such a simple picture... and most will wonder why is it a favorite?

This picture is the start of it all....

The almost 5 year journey of addictions, swearing, hell, and heaven... the start of what many of us thought was lame - much like finding a fan - oh, neat - now, it's OMG, a fan with screws!

LOL...

5 year journey where @Phil_T_Casual will show us his soft side with his spectacular artistry and expression...

5 years journey where @RayBo will have a place on a Looney Tunes splash screen introduction in a major YTube feed...

5 years journey where @kinggath, @uituit and so many many more - responding with "Bastards - all of them"... "Raiders ruling the commonwealth? phhhttt - whatever, dude!"

And this picture is the bastard that altered all of our lives... 5 years of many things.

Friendship.

John

So it turns out the creator of the Zombie Walkers mod, joefor, is updating it again. On discovering that, I had to revive an old idea...

I took a chance on FO4Edit, and removed all of Polluted Climate's weather except for dark days. It's... well, half the time I can't see more than five feet in front of my face as thick fog sweeps across my view, and the other half of the time I'm fighting to determine if I'm seeing the movement I think I'm seeing.

Fortunately, sometimes, the zombies are of the glowing variety.ScreenShot15.png
This was the result of a (supposedly now fixed) bug where the creatures the zombies are supposed to replace wouldn't be removed, so the mod would keep trying to replace them indefinitely.

The overall feeling is tremendously tense. Shooting the zombies anywhere other than the head does very little damage, which wouldn't be such a big deal if I could actually see them at range. VATS helps a bit, but when they're close enough for my accuracy to be what I feel to be reliable (i.e. 75% or above), they're also barely outside their own attack range. If they do hit, they shred my health, or they do a bite attack that leaves my arms (and in the latest version, my head too) crippled.

It's been challenging so far, but I've managed to avoid death. I'm waiting for the time I try to take cover during a firefight with raiders and wind up disturbing a small horde. Bound to happen sooner or later. At least it makes any sign of civilization so much more striking.

Edit: Coming back to add that that shot of Coastal Cottage reminds me so, so much of the first time I saw Midgar in Final Fantasy 7 and I love it.
