Question Evict Trudy

Is there any way to complete this with console commands? there's no dialogue with anyone and killing Trudy does nothing

Is this a SS Conqueror quest or is this part of the vanilla quest at Drumlin Diner.

I would assume it is the vanilla quest since making a mod use an existing NPC with a quest option already is kind of a bad thing to do. Especially when it is a voiced NPC.

I'm also stuck with this quest. Went to talk with Wolfgang following the Conqueror line and it only enacted the vanilla dispute with Wolfgang and Trudy over the Jet money owed by Trudy. The only interaction available from both parties is trade, so how does Trudy get evicted?

Which path did you choose when talking to Wolfgang?

I played this out twice tonight.

First, I chose to talk to to Trudy, like always. Then I intimidated her to pay me. Order Up completed when I talked to Wolgang again. Then I killed her and the Junkie Son. Evict Trudy wouldn't advance.

Reloaded. This time I chose the join attack/violence option with Wolfgang. Killed Trudy and Junkie. Both quests advanced.

Wolfgang tells me to back off when I arrive and I tell him to stop waving his gun in my face. He asks me to side with him (which I did) and I spoke to Trudy for the peaceful ending where she pays Wolfgang. Figured if I killed her, I couldn't evict her.

So you have to follow the dialogue sequence with wolfgang to help both of them or else it becomes bugged, noted.

What I dont get is why is the this quest buried so far up the chain? It seems like it should have been placed right around after clearing out the other gang leaders north of the river.

Which is why I had doubts and asked if it was Order Up or not (and the fact nobody else was replying.)

I think you must only help Wolfgang and not choose to help both. My experience was to get Evict Trudy to advance you have to choose the path that results only in Wolfgang being alive and then taking up position behind the counter, not outside the door.

Stole this from https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Order_Up to explain what worked for me:

Order Up.png

"If Wolfgang isn't hostile or hasn't been driven off, he will ask for help, with either talking some sense into Trudy or taking her down.

  • The player character can ask about Trudy. Wolfgang explains how he got her son Patrick hooked on Jet. The player character can agree that they should pay what he owes, that Wolfgang's a scumbag for making him an addict or that they're both in the wrong. The conversation returns to his offer.
The default payout is 100 caps, but the player can haggle for 125, 150 or as high as 200 (unless they hustled him earlier), to agree to talk to Trudy or join them in the attack, the latter of which turns Trudy and Patrick hostile...

By this point, talk to whoever is still alive to complete the quest:

  • If Trudy is killed, Wolfgang takes over behind the counter and becomes available as a chems merchant. (This is seems to be the correct ending for the EVICT TRUDY Quest)
  • If Wolfgang is killed or driven off, Trudy remains and becomes available as a general goods merchant.
  • If Trudy is convinced to pay up, she remains behind the counter while Wolfgang leans up against the wall outside. Both become available as merchants."

For me, the "Both become available as merchants" ending would result in Evict Trudy not advancing, even if she was killed afterwards. She had to be killed during Order Up.

This was the very first side quest Jammz gave me. Kinda of surprised me. The last time I tried Conqueror, I don't remember getting this quest (maybe either the quest hadn't been added yet or maybe because I had already completed Order Up diplomatically it was not given out???).

It does seem to piggy back and depend on the outcome of Order Up. Be nice if you could just kill her at anytime. I would have liked to buy some of her stock before betraying her for Conqueror.

I've never seen any reason to end Order Up any other way than having both Wolfgang and Trudy available to trade with. Two merchants so close to Starlight has always been too good to pass up.

Maybe this is Kinggath's way of giving purpose to the Wolfgang only ending and also slyly sticking it to all of us min/maxers.

I don't get why it still shows as an active quest "Evict Trudy", yet doesn't show up when using the SQT console command.

I held off on doing Order Up until I took out all the bosses up to Tower Tom and it never came about. I had held on purposely trying to get this to pop up. I will make that attempt again this game and hold out longer I guess.

Trudy and Deb are both kinda useless when it comes to vendors once you establish a few in your settlements. Like I almost shot Deb in the face for only offering 3 .308 ammo.

Okay, I finally got the quest "Drugs for Drumlin"

It was given after I retrieved the cache in the Lexington Super Duper Mart (3rd Quest). So apparently you have to avoid doing "Order Up" to receive it.

Then once you have "Drugs for Drumlin" go to Drumlin Diner and talk to Wolfgang. While doing "Order Up" you have to pick the option "Join the Attack."

Then that will proceed to the quests afterwards.

Hope that clears things up :P

I'm playing Survival and muffed this up myself. I have no previous saves except the one from when I started the game, and I'm lvl 22 now... So I guess what I'm getting at is if I could get a quest ID for it? So I can advance it without having to start all over again.

Edit: Maybe it could be possible to start "Order Up" again and then pick the right option?

Yikes!

I don't know the quest Id's and really hope some else can help you.

I'm not trying to kick you when you are down, but from one fellow traveller to another it's got to be said:

Save yourself some headache and frustration in the future and get a mod that let's you make hard saves in survival (but not Survival Options) and use it liberally. I played without one for a long long time and suffered liberally: Settlements eventually can be more dangerous than deathclaws and these new quests can go sideways.

If you are playing Conqueror, you are a trailblazer in uncharted territory. Not having a save to roll back to is straight up masochism.

Treat yourself, don't beat yourself.

WORKAROUND FOUND: I managed to fix it, for people having the same issue first:

"ResetQuest <Base ID>" for OrderUp the quest ID is 001069a9

Now Wolfgang will not talk to you like normal, this is fine as Trudy will. This is an indicator that the quest is somehow active in the background, without you getting the prompt.

Next you'll want to do the following:
"SetStage 001069a9 20" This will effectively set the quest as to when you talked to Wolfgang.

Then simply kill Trudy and her son without having to talk to Wolfgang. This will give you the completion prompt to the Conqueror quest nd you'll be allowed to talk to Wolfgang and trade with him after as if you played through the quest the first time. Hope this helps anyone still hoping for a fix.

I always keep Trudy and Wolfgang. When I saw the quest didn't advance, I went back and killed her and her son. The quest is perma in my pipboy.
