So I believe this is where I go to enter the city plan contest for the month? If so I would like to make this my entry into the contest.
Story:
Vault 88, the vault that never was. When the bomb's fell on that day Some people sought shelter in the vault, they didn't care that it wasn't finished, that it wouldn't seal, that the caves were lined with uranium, it was better than facing the apocalypse. As time went on these would be survivors began to experience strange things, visions of horror, voices in there heads. It drove some of them mad, others it instilled with a purpose. A single goal driving them forward.... Him.
Nobody knows for sure what it actually was uranium poisoning their brains, radiation leaking in through openings in the unfinished sections of the vault, maybe there was actually a him. All we do know is when a group of settlers arrived at the vault they found the a sight of horror, or what would have been if they had not crossed the wasteland. Still the vault was sturdy, the water pumps worked and it was shelter from the rad storms. It would be foolish not to take advantage of the opportunity. Clearing the dead, repairing the vault and establishing a society. They Didn't care what had happened in the past, all they care about is food, water and shelter. After all, living in a "haunted" vault is... better than facing the apocalypse.
