Ok there's a bunch of problems arising now.
I am no longer able to get to either RR or SH, if I walk to RR and get close to the entrance the game crashes. Same if I fasttravel to it and it's also the same for SH.
I have Abernathy & SH as SS and upgraded. Problem with that is that I also have Piper, Ada & Codsworth sitting at RR. Preston was in SH, but i teleported him to me and then sent him to the castle. Now he's not following me when I ask him to join me, he's just stuck at the castle. It's the same for Piper as well. If I ask her to join me she's not following me when I travel somewhere.

Jammer has suddenly developed a brown face after I came back to the BOO & Sarah was there to join.

Egret Tours Marina settlement is giving me some real headaches.
The workshop is telling me they need food & defence when they already have enough food & defence.
Both food and defence are red and showing 999. Despite the fact that there's 2 agri plots producing a total of 9 in food. And there's 1 martial plot producing 9 in defence.
The NPC that you meet at that settlement is still there and she's the one that I'm interacting with. I got a MM settlement quest to defend them against Supermutants, and I'm now unable to finish that quest since she's not giving me the dialoge and giving me the response dialoge to complete it.

sounds like your game is hosed.
i don't know any way to fix what you are going through. it sounds like you've got a bit of a perfect storm going on, in terms of the 'triangle of death' abernathy/red rocket/sanctuary.
you're better off starting a new game, but before you do - read up in these forums on 'the triangle of death' and how to hopefully avoid those issues from killing you, and you may want to go through your load order and remove mods that haven't been updated in ages, or break precombines - and ... well, again, there's a stack of posts in these forums with what to do for stable games, which you can refer to.

Well I deleted my saves and started a new one. Now the game crashes as soon as the gate from the vault elevator opens. And I only have the Sim Settlements, Conqueror and the required mods for it enabled.

sounds like you need to either verify your local game files via steam, or perform a complete, clean re-install of the game and your mods.

Well I'm always playing thriugh Steam, because the game won't start otherwise. A new clean install... That'd be the 3rd one in a short period of time. Let's hope that #4 is the last time I'll have to do it.

If you're launching directly through steam then you're not using F4SE, no wonder you're having issues. You need to install and use F4SE properly to have any hope with these script heavy mods.

Well after installing both Steam & Fallout 4 all over again. And also following the exact stepts of the F4SE seutup info. And now the game won't even start, it just crashes as soon as you hit play.

why would you re-install steam?
It sounds to me like something is really snarled up. there are threads in these forums that detail what you need to do to start over again - hint - it doesn't include re-installing steam, windows, formatting your hard disk or rebuilding an entire new rig.
all you need to do is delete your data folder out of your fallout 4 directory, have steam validate local files and start a brand new game with no mods to make sure your install works.
once you get to that point - you then need to install f4se following those instructions and start the game via the f4se loader - again with no mods - to make sure that works.

once you've done that - install simsettlements and whatever else you need - just to get the game going - dont install dozens of mods at this poiint, just ss, uf04p if you use it, conqueror if you use it and workshop framework.

start a new game. make sure it works.

after all that - you have a solid base game to mod with.

Well, deleting the "data" file and trying to validate the files doesn't actually work. Steam will install the data folder again, and after that the game won't launch. So, yet again I have to re-install the game all over again, and then validate the files. After that is done, then I can continuing to follow the steps you've mentioned.

when you validate the files you want it to create a new, empty data file. this means you're back to a vanilla install. why would you try to restart the game with the data folder missing?
as i said, there are a ton of posts on how to do this on these forums, look for them, follow the instructions and don't do things like re-install steam, or try to start the game with essential directories missing.

No, I didn't try to restart the game with the folder missing. I tried to launch the game after Steam had installed those files from the data folder again. And then it didn't work.

then you have a fundamental issue with the contents of your game folders.
if a default game install doesn't start, then that is a problem way beyond simsettlements.
you may want to uninstall everything and start over.
