Donating Junk Freeze

I tried donating junk, (i.e. ballistic fiber, wood, &c). After I donate it I get a window that says the settlers are determining how best to utilize my junk donation. As soon as I click on OK, the game freezes. I am on a relatively high end PC with Baka installed.

I'd recommend just putting it in the workshop unless you really need virtual junk for some reason. I'll check this myself right now and see if I can recreate it.

I had the same thing. Best thing I found was to use the donate supplies from workbench option from the desk safe.
This assumes you have stored junk in the workbench in preparation, and the more storage containers you have built, the more they can take from the workbench.

I just tried donating again, this time I only donated armor and weapons. I got a message that the settlers ran out of room to store the stuff (it wasn't a lot) and that some would be returned to me. When I selected okay, the screen and game froze. There seem to be a bug in the City Manager's Desk.

So put it in the workshop and then at the desk use Donate Workshop items. That should work without freeze. Also storage containers for the extra if your hud shows max amount in settlement already.
