Do built & unassigned recreation plots still give happiness?

As the title says, once they are built to recreational plots need to have a settler assigned to continue to add happiness?

I'd imagine if they are working as intended, yes, they need to be worked to provide the happiness boost. My experience when shifting a settler from a rec plot to another is that the happiness bonus goes away until some one else starts to work it. Have you found one where the party never stops?

Yea, think of the assigned settlers as the janitors for the rec plot.

I pity the settler who's assigned to clean this... lol
