Old Post Danger On The Way Home

First I wanna say that there is no way I would ever play fallout without this mod. It's so immersive and just all around awesome in my opinion. I would like to have the immersion go a bit farther if at all possible though. Just a couple of suggestions that I 've thought about.

1. Make it so that the salvagers cost money. After all, they are random people that are not from your settlement, so they shouldn't be doing it for free.

2. Have an option for your gear to get hijacked on the way home. Customizable. Like a 4 ot of 5 times it will make it. Seems a little too easy to "Know" my loot is safe once I send it home.

2a. I'm sure this is digging to deep, but say there was a pay scale. And a loot scale. If you pay too little and have awesome loot, there is a customizable chance the salvagers will run off with your loot and your payment. Just a though, but that sounds complicated. I would say atleast the first part about the chance your loot could get hijacked.

Anyway, Thanks for all of the hard work. This mod is already amazing and is set in stone in my load order.

It's your settlers from your settlements salvaging the loot, not random scavengers. That is why you need to construct a communication station at your settlement.

I can make a communication station at the start of the game and assign one of the concord settlers and have 3 teams picking up salvage while everyone else is at Sanctuary. And wheb the salvagers arrive, they are not a settler from my settlement.

So no, they are not settlers from your settlement. They are spawned in just to do that job.

Actually, this is from the page as well...
Obviously you have never used this mod. Anyone who has knows the people who pick up your stuff are named "salvager" and while they start their journey from your settlement, they are not actually your settlers.

Oh my bad then, I always thought it was your settlers that scavenged the loot since you build the station at a settlement and assign a settler to it to use salvage beacons.

No problem for me. Just some suggestions that might add a little flavor. In my opinion, its an awesome mod as it is, and like I said, I would never play without it.

This is just a bit of poetic licence. They are supposed to represent 'your' settlers in the sense that presumably your settlements would attract friends and allies eg. Trashcan Carla. Just need to use your imagination.

I think this is a bit of a limitation of the base game, that you just don't encounter many 'citizens' in the wilds, and when you do it seems a bit ridiculous, like that guy who owns a bar in the middle of nowhere near Finch Farm. Would've been more fun if you had to do quests to recruit settlers as opposed to using recruitment beacons.
