CTD problem

Hello all , I've just installed hotfix 2.0.2c and now cannot play as ctd after a few seconds , I've not changed any mods and tried to run from various saves . Will try a fresh start and see what happens . I'm also using PC

I've had some major CTD issues since the update that includes Extended was released. If I go back to the one before that, and use the separate extended mod, I don't have the CTD issues.

Not sure what information to give @kinggath to help with narrowing this down. Happy to supply whatever needed.

I don't know, if it's related but I also suffered more frequent CTDs since the upgrade. Most notably at Abernathy's, where I tried to select the vanilla defense menu to lay down a turret. Trying to fast travel from Abernathy to Red Rocket or approaching Red Rocket from the Abernathy side. Coming from Concord didn't cause a CTD.

I did a fresh start and had no ctd , but I did get an error message saying ss2 wasn't installed properly or something similar, so I deleted it and reinstalled ,touch wood all ok so far

ha - I just recommended that to you in another thread, so looks like you're ahead of me!

If you combine Buffout 4 with this: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/56255, it basically tells you exactly what's crashing you.

If anyone has Buffout report something in SS2 crashing them, please DM me with the crash log and I'll get it hotfixed ASAP.

I hope, someone can come up with a solution. I simply can't fast travel to Sanctuary and a number of other places anymore without CTDing.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, installing Buffout 4 will give you crash logs which could help pinpoint the problem.

Aside from that, scan/repair/destroy power grid remotely through the Workshop Framework tools (if repair fails, use destroy) and see if it lets you enter the settlement without crashing. if you're using any of the RotC city plans, consider switching over to another one.

I would. But I never got Buffout to work properly for months. According to nexus I downloaded it on january 1st, but although I downloaded and installed all the requirements, no crash log is generated in the designed folder.

Do you have all the requirements for it? There are a few other mods it needs to work properly.
