CTD from Cleff?

I was getting repeated CTD's while doing Fusion City Rising and at first thought it was the cell I was in that was causing it as Buffout kept giving me a vague pathing issue. However after exhausting my known options for dealing with that I decided to try another approach and just wait a few hours in a different cell to see if it happened anyway. Sure enough it did and I got the following crash log which actually netted me something more concrete. The problem is now I don't know how to correct the problem. Any thoughts? My current save is deep inside the primary FCR quest (detention area for those familiar) so I'd prefer not to lose upwards of 2 hours of progress but if that's what it takes then so be it.

There have been reported issues with the Thuggy mods when it comes to them causing all kinds of Issues with SS2. I know that Thuggy wants to get them fixed and is looking for any possible reports to help that. Go to his page on Nexus for that mod and make a report there. You might just have to ditch that mod and/or roll back. And/Or start over completely with a new game.

From what little information I can glean from the crash log, FCR isn't even involved in this problem though. It appears to be a pathing and/or spawning issue with Cleff and his attempt to talk to me to start his quest (not the first SS2 NPC to do this to me either for whatever that's worth). While I'm certain there may be some minor conflicts between the two mods, I find it perplexing that this particular problem would be one of them. By chance, did you review the log I attached or are you commenting on where I first experienced the problem?

I reviewed the log, but I will be honest I am not the best at reading those logs. However, I am good at paying attention to the problems people have when those mods are involved. I have been tracking and helping others track a few different NPC issues where those mods are involved for months now. A lot of them are almost impossible to nail down because of the variable nature of said mods. Now return question, have you tried disabling those mods and see if the problem persists? And to be clear I have nothing against any of those mods and my recommendations are just that. A way to test if any are having issues in hopes they can be rectified.

I have not as disabling them would almost certainly result in damage to my save files. In addition, those mods have been part of my entire save so I can't rollback to an earlier point either I'm afraid. I'm mostly trying to keep this save alive long enough until SS2 chapter 2 drops to be honest.

To be clear, I was not accusing you of anything and I appreciate the responses. I am certainly not going to pick a fight over the matter at any rate. I just get so bloody tired of trying to fix this game with my limited understanding. Cheers for the help.

The pathing thing isn’t necessarily from ss2 or thuggy I’ve had it happen with random npc. What can cause it is stuff that alters or edits an area breaking the navmesh or blocking the pathing. I’ve also had it happen randomly then reloaded a save and everything worked fine after reloading. If you have any mods that change an area it could be that it could also be nothing welcome to fallout 4.
