Please post bugs specific to Rise of the Commonwealth and County Crossing in this thread.
 
yeah so my bug is a bit more general if anything but i tried to comeplete the taking point quest ahead of time (before i let the settlement build itself.) but i doesn't want to complete for some reason or another. but from what i have seen it isn't just me.

It is a known bug which cropped up due to how kinggath implemented his new recruiting system. To complete the quest you can use the following command: setstage MinRecruit06 400
 
Just making sure, for the 0 did you put an o or a zero? If you put an o, that would be why as it is a zero, although here on the forums it doesn't appear as such.
 
Honestly, had no one explicitly said it was a zero, I would have thought it was an o. As there's not much of a difference.

o0 <-- 1st is an o, second is a zero.
 
Just upgraded Country Crossing from 0 to 1 and got trapped in the tower's lowest level (where the desk initially is). I had to load a save from before and stand at the absolute edge of interaction distance to stay free.

You can always open the console and type..
tcl
toggle collision, to get unstuck.
Kinggath has fixed that problem, by making you land on the Fast Travel mat after Cinematic Mode finishes. Work pretty well too. ;)
 
Even then, you could always enter workshop mode and pick up a wall, run through it, then hit the cancel button and it'll go back right where it was.
 
When I set up the settlement and watched the "building" process, a humming sound started up around the middle of the settlement. It sounds like a fan or an engine or something and it is constant. Resetting the settlement does not work and it was not there when not using the mod. It only started up after I used the mod to set up the settlement. Here is a video that I took documenting the noise:

Not a bug. It's part of the City Plan.. The sound emitter got added a bit early, should be in level 2.
You can see the emitter in workshop mode if you turn Hidden Markers On.

Hi everyone & thank you for the mod !

(sorry for my bad english)

I may have a problem to get in County Crossing with RotC (PC user) : Everytime i try to fasttravel there, the game crashes. So i try to walk there from a distance, but the same problem appears also - even from a little distance like the national guard training yard (that is the limit i think). First of all, i made a save, disable sim settlements + addons, loaded the game and when i go through County Crossing, it works. With the mod on, it becomes impossible to enter this colony after that the citizens made the first wide improvements. Level 0 was okay - now the colony is level 1 (i run the mod with low involvement).

I tried to adjust settings : disable a lot of options in the holotape (performance), but it still happening, even if i walk very slowly. I've added the " papyrus " in my Fallout4Custom.ini but no changes, still happening near the colony (i can pass the training yard but i can't go closer). It only happens in that settlement (but i do not own all of them so i couldn't test all to be sure). Sanctuary is already in level 3 and works fine for example. I play with low resolution for fallout4, no dlc and i've got the subtle enb.

Maybe the load order isn't well sorted ? (i've got quite a lot of mods : 100 more or less)

I try to disable " scrap everything " just to see but no changes, even minors.
I probably forget something but i run out of ideas, anything will be welcome.

Has anyone encountered such issue - I finished the quest to get this settlement, placed a small generator and a recruitment beacon, then the city planners desk and assigned a leader. Cinematic started and city base was built. So far so good. Two existing settlers started to work, one on field and other at a security station. Then third settler arrived and I manually re-assigned one of the "original"settlers to a field and the new one to security station. After that I donated scrap materials, weapons and armor, chems, food and water to city and city started to grow towards the next rank. Now, after a very long time, there are still only 3 settlers there, not a single new one has arrived despite recruitment beacon working. I've refreshed the city and plots and what not, no difference. City is stuck at 90% and simply doesn't proceed any further. All existing plots (2 agricultural, 1 security and 3 residential plots) are level 3. Happiness stuck at 80%. Donating more stuff makes no difference, and every now and then donating seems bugged too, for example I open the donations box using the desk, place a weapon in it and it immediately disappears from the donation box. When I close it, there's no message of acknowledgement either. I have to re-load the game for the donation box to work normally.

In short, settlement is not advancing, no new people are recruited, donation box seems to act up.

EDIT: I have all the latest versions of SS, IR and RoTC, plus the first Megapack installed.

EDIT2: Maybe there's no progress because for some reason recruitment doesn't work? I get no new settlers, no new plots are being built, no progress. How to get the recruitment to work again, seeing as it's frozen?

Hey Lorgren, quick question: did anybody at County Crossing ask you to do a radiant quest such as "Clear The Way For County Crossing" (where you have to clear out another settlement of bugs / ghouls etc) or the like? I had a similar thing happen to Tenpines Bluff, where on a new play through, Sanctuary had built up +5 settlers and Tenpines got zero, and this is with a 10 charisma build. Also none of the plots would advance even after a week of existence. The only possibility was Ms. Tenpines asked me to clear out Taffington Boathouse and I hadn't done that yet. After clearing Taffington, I came back and completed the quest, and then walked over to Sanctuary, and by the time i go tthere, every plot in Tenpines started upgrading and a new settler showed up.

I'm not saying this is "for sure" what is holding it up, but it might. Maybe the settlers are locked into a radiant quest mode and are too "worried" to work?
 
Unfortunately no, I've completed all the active radiant quests and NPC's had nothing to say. I haven't even picked up Preston yet, he's still lingering in that museum in Concord. I did complete the quest for County Crossing people, they asked to clear out the ferals in National Guard Barracks nearby.

I summoned about 3 settlers through console and sent them over to County Crossing, as soon as they arrived they built their plots and settlement immediately progressed, reaching next level. I haven't been there yet so I am not sure whether the recruitment works now or not. I get a feeling that somehow the recruitment process has stopped, some script or something.

EDIT: maybe I should try to disable SS recruitment feature and use game's vanilla feature, see if that changes things..

Before you do that, go to the City Managers desk and click on City Plan, then scroll down until you find the "refresh city" option. That will tear down all the structures built by the city plan (stairs, platforms, and electronic devices like the Settlement Recruitment Beacon) but leave all the plots unharmed and in place. It is possible your beacon might have broken or something, and the refresh might rebuild it. If that doesn't work, try looking at the recruitment options on the holotape or the managers desk and see what it says.
 
I've tried the city refresh and sadly it didn't help with that. I also went through the recruitment options and changed some settings, then changed them back to see if that will nudge things along but no. I summoned then manually 3 settlers, sent them over to County Crossing and upon their arrival, they started to build new plots and later upgrade these and that bumped the settlement progression from L0 90% up to L1 20%, but once they were done with their stuff the progress stopped there. No new settlers are coming in either, despite beacon being visibly on and me hearing the recruitment message over the radio.
