Conquest new player house

So I was ingame tonight, letting my settlements grow up the old-fashioned way and playing with SOE pack stuff and I was struck by a bright idea for a player house. This is unrelated to Sim Settlements but I think it's a cool build anyway.

Well, one thing led to another, and I went looking for and found a floorplan to build to.

There's a little cul-de-sac on the west end of the lake near the map edge. (Yay, go zero happiness bug! I'm going to save this as a transfer settlements thing anyway so no big deal)

So armed with my floorplan and what (at first glance) appeared to be the perfect location for it, I started building. In the heat of the moment, I kind of forgot to take screenshots of the location before I started in on it but if you go to this place in your own game, you're going to see a very different landscape.

I started with trying to Mk 1 Eyeball verify that everything would fit as I envisioned it and realized that I needed to go up a little bit from the ground. 2 Stories in fact. Building that out didn't take too long but I realized that I needed to make the front a lot more interesting and, more importantly, this build needed to be more or less all on one level.

So I had to build up the front a little bit, thankfully with scrap everything and place everywhere I can do stuff like move cliff edges around as well as scrap them.

So I was getting my feet wet (pun intended) playing with the water stuff from the SOE pack and came up with a pretty neat little water feature... it's unfinished right now but you can start to see what I've got in mind with the judicious placement of a couple more rocks and some growies. There are lights down inside the well that light the water up wonderfully at night too but that's something to show off for a different day.

Here's the front of the home from a distance, not one single angle on the front of the house is at 90 degrees.
Both external doors are round. There's no doorknob in the center of them because to get what I wanted, I used a floor door rotated 90 degrees across the X axis and place everywhere to position it.

There are no "round" windows in this game other than the Overseer's window from the Vault DLC, so I went with "rounded", it doesn't look entirely horrible and will look better once I get the skin and ground built up across the front.

Please excuse the mess and hollowed out hills, this is in no way its final form.

Even though the original was all on one level, there's three spots in the structure where I had to go with a ramp up, the furthest left guest house and the "Smoking Room" internally and the left exit.

Where they ended up had an unmoveable slope right where I wanted to put it so I stayed true to the floor plan and just messed with the elevation a little bit with ramps.

I am adding a coat closet and a bathroom or three where the floorplan shows dirt because reasons.
They're only roughed in as of yet, so no pictures.

The entire front of the structure and a good chunk of the hill is complete. Much work remains to be done fixing the clipping on the landscape and matching the hill to what is under it.

While I was building all this, I heard my dog going nuts and my companion trash talking.

Nothing in the basement, lets check the sub basement

There was a line of concrete I put in place to act as a footing and help me get the locations just right, the voices and shots were coming from the other side of this so I moved one of the blocks to have a look-see.

Investigation showed that I built right on top of a random encounter spawn point, so the house occasionally gets visitors of a pestilential nature. I added the turrets after the fact to keep the pest population down.

Yeah, that's a deathclaw in my basement. I don't know who the random dude is that is currently swimming in the water column of the fountain but he's friendly enough when I talk to him so I'm leaving him there to swim. Keep in mind that this is literally two stories straight down underneath the fountain structure.

I'll post more as I get it built, it depends on time and interest.
