[CH3] Art Of War, and beyond - Only Freedom Fighter NPCs considered as units when adding units to an assault.

So I'm trying my best to get through the quests, but trying to assault a location, be it Egret or otherwise, tells me I don't have enough troops. Going to the desk of a nearby outpost says I have 33 soldiers available, but when trying to assign them (Add max etc) to the assault, it assigns none of them. Really infuriating.
None of the classic symptoms of corruption are showing (Can't assign to plots or move settlers etc etc. All are working fine.) and not even the bug where plots would have classes missing depending on where you placed them, is present.
So I don't know if this is a save file corruption and I'll need to start a completely new run, or if it's a genuine bug?
I'm expecting the worst, but I still have a bit of hope.
In a previous bugged run (Where the missing classes bug happened) it took several tries having Sal guide me, but it did eventually work, despite having a similar issue with this particular assault, so I'm not sure what's going on this time.

Any help is appreciated, even if it's just "Your save is corrupted."
I just want to play this awesome mod.

Update: Figured out the actual issue. Turns out the system refuses to use actual conscripted settlers, and instead ONLY uses the Freedom Fighters. The one assault that I had work was only the Freedom Fighters with me. When I next tried to do an assault after turning on allowing injured soldiers to join me, I had one soldier join me, going to manually check with the "Add units" option, it was a Freedom Fighter soldier.

Ok so update. It would appear that it seemingly does this randomly. Was able to assault a single location (Robotics Pioneer Park) and that all went ok. But now no soldiers can be assigned for any further assault, despite saying I have 40 warriors ready for deployment.

Same issue here. When press e on the war table it tells me i have 13 warriors, however i can't assign them and it also claims i have not enough soldiers available.
I don't know what it is, but i have the same issue even after starting a new run. It's infuriating

Are all your troops warriors? If you took some territory, you'd have to reassign them back to warriors (from guards). And if they're injured, they can't enter assaults so you'd have to treat them first. Getting a couple more outposts and more warriors might help as well (just spawn settlers in if you don't want to bother). I think the code that shows how many soldiers you have doesn't show the correct numbers sometimes. Unless this is a new bug but it's been fine so far. Don't think it's corruption either (though depends what you did with that save).

All my troops are warriors and none of them are injured as i couldn't use them in a fight yet. Getting more outposts seems like a decent idea though, guess i'll try that

No didn't work either. I went took a new settlement and converted it to an outpost and spawned in 15 settlers and recruited them but still nothing. Idk what to do.

What's your current mod version? You should update workshop framework as well. I'll try and test if this happens with hotfix K, but don't think this has been reported at all until this thread.
Another thing is having an outpost in range of the target - I used Jamaica Plain as my command center for taking Egret. Made a new outpost at Graygarden to assault Federal Ration Stockpile, It has 0 recruits right now but I'll post if there's any oddities.

My current version is 3.0.0k. I make sure to update it whenever a new version releases. But i did forget about workshop framework, however that didn't seem to fix my issue, but maybe if i reload an older save and restard art of war completely it'll fix it. I made sure to turn outpost range off, so that can't be it either.

The 15 settlers you recruited, when you point at them does it say Warrior or Guard or Quartermaster or what?

I have an interesting update I chanced upon.
So I think the issue is better classified as conscripted settlers just not being used by the system.

Edit: Updated Thread title and description.

Yep. Just unassigned the Freedom Fighers as guards from my captured territory, assigned regular settlers instead, and what do you know? I now have 7 soldiers in my assault crew. Weird bug.

They just showed up for the assault, and thus were assigned to guard duty at the territory. Perhaps this is even yet another bug and I shouldn't be able to do this. But if you're looking for them, perhaps try looking at the Coast Guard Pier or Mass Pike Interchange? Seeing as you use them initially for the Coast Guard Pier assault tutorial.
Edit: I went to their camp, where you initially find and recruit Sal, and there were some there assigned to guard duty, but you can change them.
